Blaming informal settlements for the collapse of mortgages is nonsensical. The collapse of a viable middle class, lack of jobs and inconsistent incomes as well as poor policies from the RBZ have been the major causes of the state of real estate not to mention mortgages. This is lazy journalism.

Essentially general income is way too low to afford any decent housing, even by mortgage...I think that's being mentioned in here. The biggest problem is salaries and wages; affects everything in the country
