The song actual had a double meaning, he was talking about his unborn child but also referring to the next generation of youths that will come after him.

Came here to say this aswel !! ; the wild part about this song is that he never got anyone pregnant ; so he wasnt talking about his personal child; the song makes you think that ; but he's really talking about his "Children" the people that he inspired and look up to him ; the ones that he planted a seed in and inspired to change the world; so this song is a complete Double entendre , pac had a bunch of songs where he did this

You’re doing a fantastic job beginning your journey into Pac’s life and music. You’ve covered some of the best tracks for a beginner. I’d recommend “California Love” and “To Live and Die in L.A.” next. I’ve been a Pac fan for over 3 decades now. He actually came out of Digital Underground in the Bay Area, I was a fan of theirs and he started out as one of their backup dancers and roadies. Check out their track “Same Song” which was his rap debut!

This was actually a remix they did after he passed. The original has a different beat and chorus. Type in 2Pac Letter To My Unborn OG. He talks more at the end to his "child". I have no idea why they removed most of it
