I've caught a bunch of fish on jigs, but I'd argue that the best bass lure of all time is a rubber worm. Most versatile bait ever. Great video, Randy! Happy New Year

This is awesome. Im moving to Lake Sinclair next year (from Florida) and can not wait to fish more jigs in a traditional impoundment. Thanks so much!

That is a deadly combo in the spring . Dip the tails in chartreuse.

Randy, clip the mic to the front of your shirt. When you have it to the side the volume is low.

Interesting modifications to your jig and trailer. Do you recommend using contrasting skirt and trailer colors? I started using contrasting colors this fall and was pleasantly surprised

Thanks, Randy. I know you still sometimes use pork, but I would recommend using pork almost exclusively. Also, split those tails all the way up to the fat part of the chunk. Then, split each tail, turning two tails into four.

Do you trim the weed guard back any on that particular jig?

I liked the video about ripping hair jigs off the bottom. I'm wondering if it would work on stripers. I catch a lot of really nice bass but I'm burnt out. I need to learn at least a little about a new fish.

I mostly fish the Susquehanna river now. I used to fish a jig a lot many years ago. One question, what is the best way to put the trailer on as far as the flat side? I always put the chunk on flat side down. I saw Hank Parker talk about it once and he puts it on flat side up also. Is there a difference? Just curious....thanks!

I use U. Josh pork frogs 99% of the time instead of plastic, but both obviously work. Mostly I rig it just like Randy shows, with the larger flat side up and the smaller flat side he trimmed, which correlates to the pork fat, or bottom of the frog chunk, down. Putting the chunk on flat side down does have its merits though, as that is the way Villas (Bo) Dowden rigged it enroute to his 1980 Bassmaster Classic victory. He said it glided better over the submerged vegetation he was fishing in the St. Lawrence river. I also believe in continuing the split of the tails all the way up to the fatter part of the chunk. Then, split each tail, again, ALL THE WAY up to the fatter part of the chunk, turning two tails into four.
