I will always look back and remember this song and ending so vividly, It was 2003, I was just laid off from my first job since I graduated from high school in 1997. For the first time in my life I had no job but I was able to draw unemployment. It was the first feeling of freedom I guess you could say. I still lived at home with my parents at the while I attempted to sort out the rest of my life. I would stay up late at night watching Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. Inuyasha opened the block. When the second play thru would start and Inuyasha would end for the second time I would go to bed for the night. My grandfather was alive, my sister, cousin and a close friend was as well. It was quite possibly the best time I ever had living as the summer of 2003 I got to spend working with my grandfather and having him treat my as an equal and not as just his grandson. We would spend hours cutting a clearing right of ways in the oilfield and he would give me the best advice ever that I have been given. I wish I could go back just one more time and relive that summer again.

I remember that summer too. I was midway through high school. My parents left for the summer leaving me and my twin in the hands of a very permissive sitter who just wanted to make sure she saw us once a day, the rest of the time was ours and we could go and do anything we wanted. Exploring the city, hanging out with friends at the mall, going swimming at a river, and staying up late watching Inuyasha, trigun, cowboy bebop, and flcl on adult swim.

Damn I'm sure those memories hit real hard for you. For me we didn't get cable until 2005 when I started high school but once we did adult swim would air inuyasha early in the mornings at like 5am-6am. Which worked well for me because i had to be up that early to not miss the train and a follow up city bus to school in nyc. Had to leave the house by 6am Getting ready with my breakfast and just relaxing until leaving the house was so peaceful. My parents and sister would wake up by the time I left so just being able to enjoy this show with the quietness of the mornings is something. They also played the inuyasha movies on the weekends alot which was a plus.

It’s wild because I was 7 when I first started watching inuyasha and I heard this song. At 7 years old, this song brought about feelings of nostalgia and I didn’t even know what that word was at the time, so I didn’t understand it. At 8 years old my life changed completely as my mom suffered from addiction and my sister and I were tossed into the foster care system, but the nights I would stay up watching adult swim were some of the best memories I had as a child. I still hang on to those moments because it was one of the last moments I got to experience having a mother and an actual family/childhood. I’d be up at those hours completely inspired by the anime I was watching, training with a broom stick and doing push ups trying to be the main character of my own anime 😭. This song always brings me back to those nights and the surreal feeling of complete freedom. I’m so happy to hear that although we were decades apart in age, we both got to experience the joy of connecting with ourselves, families and inner children

❤This was my 1st anime.It was 2011 in high school,My cable connection start having problem so CN and Nick stopped working...only 5 channel was working,Animax was one of them..i saw Inuyasha(my English was worst at that time)...and got hooked up.After a week my cable got fixed but,i didn't care anymore😂. After 1 month of watching,i had my 1st crush on someone.But she was opposite of me,topper of class and hard working.o didn't use to study before at all.My Crush and anime increase my dopamine,serotonin and oxytocinn to maximum level.I start studying 12hours straight,just to become capable enough to be with her and confess to her........❤ Inuyasha songs are fixed in my brain with 1st love memories...now its my godfather of Anime

If i didn’t wake up when I did at 2:50 am on a random day in 2007, I would’ve missed this song and wouldn’t have grown up on anime. Literally saw this and like the next episode preview and when I saw inuyasha I was like “… time to burn this in my memory.” And I did cuz about 5 years later I caught a glimpse of those dog ears while scrolling on Netflix and was like “OMG I FOUND IT”
