“I know some people would be happy if I got Akagi.” I have been called! 😁 You know I love me some Kidō Butai action! I must admit though, it’s pretty neat how you’re getting experience with all the IJN BBs-if the campaign lasts long enough maybe you’ll have all of ‘em! Ise is quite a nice balance between the weak but numerous guns of Fūso and the heavy but few guns of Nagato. Of course, Yamato trumps them all one-on-one but she’s also so expensive that in a match of balanced budgets she’s facing a BB and a couple cruisers which takes her out more than likely (at least, if I pit 2 players against each other or 2 AI against each other). I argue that in terms of value the best IJN BB available is Nagato (so naturally, Mutsu cannot just be languishing forever in port until a magazine explosion does her in, this was what actually happened and may be the saddest fate I’ve ever heard of for a ship). But naturally, a carrier tends to be the best in terms of value overall, in terms of capital ships. Loved the video as always! You know I’m always excited to see more. 😁

Your wish for Akagi may come true sooner than you think. :) I agree that Nagato is best value for money there. Its just reliable. Can't have an IJN campaign without Yamato though. Thank you for watching as always. :)

I certainly will, it will take some time but its one of my goals. The sub wolf pack might have to wait until that class becomes available.

Haven't seen any comments about it but St. Louis and Helena are modified versions (a sub-class if you will) of the Brooklyn class of light cruisers. They have better sensors and better AA. They're scary against planes and small task forces (especially merchants) as I have found out during my playthrough of the USN

Yeah you can see the hull design is shared with them. Must have been a successful design if they deemed it worth keeping for those two CLs and the Wichita.

I kind of like the use of the submarines. I don't understand why there is an issue.

Same really, if you can take out a massive strategic threat easily with little risk then you should go for it. A lot of people try to find more challenge though, and from a viewer's perspective it can be a tad disappointing to not see a large conflict out of it.

@@theedifiedgamer8350 I do agree with the "more challenge" statement. In my gameplays with the Tokyo Express mod, I started using the "no subs" submod and it has been a BLESSING. Way more surface engagements, no magic submarines torpedoing your ships from inside the formation and the IA gets very ballsy with its scouting ships.

I might do, I tend to find IJN CL just don't fair well at all against US cruisers of any kind. They would definitely help against DDs but that's something my own DDs an do.

@@theedifiedgamer8350 yeah the early cruisers are underwhelming but at least some have scout planes and have a decent torpedo armament. I tend to like the Agano Class cruisers they strike a good balance imo. Cheers

They do. I can't remember the exact date but I believe its about a year's wait in game.

Ise class also have better gun angle than Fuso as well. (The centerline gun are grouped together instead of seperated by funnel)

Yeah its the most annoying thing for me. Shouldn't need to shadow a task force constantly.

@@theedifiedgamer8350 This game is great but this kind of situation is a serious problem, yesterday I was playing when I detected a convoy heading towards Guadalcanal, After 2 attacks and Once i have eliminated the CA's that were escorting When I went to intercept the convoy with my surface group and destroy the invasion force they just disappeared I don't know how that's possible because even having a level 3 airfield and Zeros, Pete's, Jake's and even Val's All over the place they just disappeared like Magic 😪😪😪
