Invasive Mongoose Catch and Cook Using Primitive Deadfall Method

On this episode of the Adventure Agents we are using a primitive deadfall trap to catch and cook an invasive species on the island of Hawai’i... the mongoose! We use the Paiute deadfall method and still couldn’t get it to work. We resorted to the pull string method.

Out at pyramid Lake Little town called Nixon to the museum or there is all kinds of wonderful objects, phenomenal epic collection of my dad’s favorite passions is trapping chipmunks of course, feed them fatten them up and then let them go. For squishing animals that you don’t want to save he uses what’s called a figure four. Very similar. It’s very hairtrigger. You just have to carve notches in the four sticks.

Show me a bargain about to get very triggered at this, but I respect it. I have a chickens. I can’t imagine how hard it is to have to catch them like to have to catch these animals because my chickens like they’re free range and they are hard to catch when you need to catch them to put them back. I’m just surprised you can catch mongoose and rodents and stuff.
