I like when the song feels a bit off at first, because that means (atleast for me) that its interesting and different, I love when I can listen to the song multiple times and hear the nuances and switchups and details, different notes, leads, patterns or noises.

I agree. I thought of how many times that when the song hits for the first time it has familiar things and may be nothing new, but I know so many songs that hit me after some times because they have something new and unique and deeply digged and became favorites of all time songs.

Yeah the reason the drums sound different is because they weren't programmed like Heavener Definitive. Brody and Alex (maybe) Actually recorded them

My first listen was very confusing but happy? After my second listen and having heard yours and birb's reactions, I feel like this EP is gonna be like another the sun sleeps situation. You need the WHOLE thing, an uninterrupted ~12 minutes to be floored by it. Phenomenal song, I LOVE all of the self references and the seamlessness between the two bands. you def raise a good point re: the bands having so much crossover in their fanbases. seemed like a no brainer from them, the online modern metalcore community is eating this up, unsurprisingly for me, i thought the song was just ok! it’s hard not to understand the excitement though!! looking forward to seeing what the other songs will bring

This song has a lot of IA Pre-Marcus soundans i love it and like everything a lot but one thing. I love the song, it be maybe one of the best of this year at the end of it but i don't really like the mix at all. The guitars sound very little to me and it hurts me for not listening to Keaton well at all. I don't know if this problem it's only mine, somebody let me know!

Almost everything that SP has dropped since Signal has had me really meh. On the other hand, Invent has released my favorite music of theirs in that time. I'll need to digest this one a lot more, but I'm digging it initially.
