So what did you change with the ellipse to get the Loft to work? You did like 4-5 things, if you dont have audio how can we tell the intricate adjustments you do to correct an unworking/unresponsive model?

Very nice. Last time I designed such part and I had some problems. Instead of 3D sketch and loft I used 1/4 of three-axis ellipsoid protruding outside (the hardest part), but the the effect was very good also.

do the projected curve on the surface and the ellipse intersect at both ends of the ellipse? when I do it it takes the projected curve as one curve but yours is two mirrored curves that are separate.

I have the same question. For some reason, when I get to the final step of lofting the ellipse, its not completing the loft when I include the rails.
