Steve ... WELL DONE! Excellent tutorial and intro video for the mark tool - I was up and using the new tool within 4 minutes of watching your video for the 2nd time.

It is a great feature. I use it a lot to put the part number on the part to make it easyer to find diferent parts when they assamble , and to mark where parts are placed when welding. BUT today i try to use it for making a 15 mm high part number in "stencil" through on a 4 mm sheet --- but i only see the thin single line, also on the flat pattern. WHAT DO I DO WRONG

It is great. How do i deside to have it on inside of a hopper? i try to do that but it always plase it on the outside. And how do i get mark the bend line? It can be nice to have the bend lines engraved and a laserbeam on the brakepress.

Looks like a real time saver, but how would you prevent the "mark through" tool from cutting holes in your part?

Flatten the sheet metal before you mark it

@@EliasNPC I think what Wobblybob was referring to was that the characters with circular shapes, "8" for example, would just cut two holes tangent to each other. And a "9" would cut a circle in the part with a "tail" extending down from tangent to the circle. I would love to see a stencil font built in to Inventor to be used for this purpose.

@@lvstreamer9403 Oh yes I didnt think about that 👍
