Thanks for the video. I now understand better how to drive in New Zealand. And the city, so peaceful and quiet. Thanks for sharing the beautiful views.

Lovely seeing the city before the CBD demolition :-). This video is a true time capsule, thank you I can spot a sign I installed, my grandmothers house, almost where I used to work at Harvey Norman, and so many other memories :-)

Grew up here and have mostly very depressing memories. Left at 15 and moved to the other side of the world.

In the 50s 60s and 70s Invercargill it was a good place to live but since that time the place is stagnated it’s a dying city

Hi! Why did the founders build wide streets in the windiest NZ place after Wellington? My father and mother were born and bred here, and were glad to leave. All you see here ar drab buildings and vehicles, absolutely nothing of note. Even a postcard of the city only reveals the Water Tower! OMG! But cheers anyway.

is the education really that bad in Invercargill?
@fsknikolai6352 жыл бұрын
@@平-i3w yea I lived there for 6+ years and my family grew up there. Invercargill is going down hill and the main place where everyone works TY is going to be closed which means people won’t be able to afford living there and people will start moving out that’s why you see so many shops closed etc. Also the free education thing they had there getting rid of that too so there’s no point going there at this point.

@@fsknikolai635 I'm thinking of going there to study next year because SIT is the only place that offers the cheapest international student fees compared to the other universities there such as UOA, UCIC, Otago and so on. I'm doubting my choice now. I really wanna move out from Indonesia(where I currently reside) as it'll be pretty tough to find jobs here in the future. I'm stressed, really😭😭
