I think it would be a good touch if the air bubbled floated downwards instead of upwards, you would think it wouldn't make sense at first, but you gotta realize; The water would be falling upwards in this zone, and the air is underneath it. Therefore, air pockets should form in the water, making it between two areas of air, if air bubbles floated upwards. If it traveled downwards, it would join the air pocket below. I already know there's air on the surface. Let's ignore that for now. Maybe it's also all water.

@@hae_v In act 1, after entering the water section, if you press the button that opens the door to proceed, but instead, use the floating platforms to go back up, you will see a platform has appeared up outside of the water. Upon jumping on this platform, it will move you to the other side of the pool to a secret path that completely skips the water segment of act 1. Although, in this mod, that path would now be sunk with water and probably have no oxygen bubbles in it, so I wonder if you can still take this path without dying, besides that

Was anyone else really invested and absolutely terrified that the level would be uncompletable in this state? Like the whole “water being where it shouldn’t be- so there’s no air bubble points to re-start the countdown drowning timer” making it extra intense when you’re stuck on a bit that’s all water up there and seemingly no way back down in time, and movement speed and jump height being severely hampered by the water so you have to navigate long sections without breath that were made for a sonic that wasn’t handicapped in this way.
