This is because of Reactive Power. Reactive Power / Reactive loads such as inductors and capacitors dissipate zero power, yet the fact that they drop voltage and draw current gives the deceptive impression that they actually do dissipate power. While there is no power use or less consumption when you measure real power, that is measure in Watt/Kwh. When voltage multiply by amperage that is measurement of apparent power. Apparent power is the combination of reactive power and true power is called apparent power. Apparent power is measured in the unit of Volt-Amps (VA). So, in VMIII case mostly people measure the “. Apparent power-VA” not the “Real Power-W/Kwh”. Our wapda meter only measure the real power not the Apparent power. So, there is no effect on electricity bill. In Case of industry where Apparent power-VA is measured & billed, because of Reactive loads (Heavy Motor Loads) which take more amp from electric company.

When you connect any load, that load will be minused from this self consumption Load of 300 watt: this continues till the load crosses 300 watt limit. After that any load on top of that initial 300 is added into total. This is a hard and tested fact that these inverter consume hell of extra power. i connected three 200 watt filament bulbs in parallel and connected this 600 watt load in series of input 220v ac of maxpower 4000. while i turned off battery, and output load and solar panels. now i turned on power and all three bulbs with half light. it means inverter internally consumed 300 watt while no other load was connected.

Nice video, valid point, I was told same thing by the shop keepers when I was buying vmiii that it consumes 2 amp from line. I have a Tesla HV which shows same reading when line is connected. I will check it through wapda meter and see how it goes. I have a problem with my setup kindly if you guide me I will be thankful. I have 3600 watts panel and 5 KW inverter 2 strings of 6 panels each. I get 234...254 volts PV input from panels. Water heater 1600 watts and Iron 1200 watts work together plus 400 watts for other things I get reading of 3200 watts PV output. But my water pump doesnt run at all which is around 1600 watts and by switching off all other load it doesnt run on inverter at all, inverter trips and shows error 15 which I guess is for over load. My water level is 15ft, motor is 3/4 hp and distance to tank is 22 ft.no batteries connected to the system, kindly guide if you understand my problem.

Due to not connected of battery initial torque of your pump is greater than your power produce at that time. you are measuring the watt at that time not VA. When your motor kicks in they take more amp from your system due power factor. At that time your system is not produce sufficient amp or you can say VA which is initially required to start the pump so that why your inverter shutdown. At the time of pump startup, you need second source of supply that me be wapda or battery which provide extra amp (VA) at time of pump startup. For Example, your pump takes 1600 W while power factor is 0.5 than actual 3200 VA required to start up the motor. At that time your inverter is not producing that much VA to startup the pump. Please check VA on your inverter by connecting second source to your inverter and startup up the pump you can clearly see that your VA is greater than you Watt.

@@miqaiser i think your pump is working on single phase.So there is no effect of three phase converter on your pump because you still use single phase from three phase converter supply.In my opinion don't use these type of convertor which may damage your inverter.To start up your pump you need a second source with your inverter at the time of pump startup which my be a battery or Wapda.

@@miqaiser use a second source as i told in previous thread use wapda at time of motor startup after that disconnect wapda.i prefer, always use a second source with solar inverter it increase the inverter life and inverter will not damage from that type of loads other wise your inverter will damage at some point.

Koi aisi emergency surat ho sakti hai k apko solar panel ka input off karna par jaye. Andhi ajaye. Zalzala. Yaa or koi emergency. To agar ap ne selector nhi bhi lagaya hua. Yaa solar ka breaker nahi bhi lagaya hua tab ap inverter ki setting mein jaa kar utility only kar sakte hain.

(1) Apparent Power (2) Active power.... bill calculated based on active power and active power can't measured with our conventional amp (Clamp) meters.
