Hi Jimmy When looking at the numbers regarding comsumer debts, wouldn't the reason of their respective decline be of more importance than their actual rates by themselves? Consumer debts wouldn't have declined at all if for example the GDP has gone up faster at the same time. Am I missing something here? Thanks in advance!

Also higher wages is a double edged sword, because if companies can keep raising prices and customers keep buying at the same rate that's basically adding more to inflation.

Just keep it simple and DCA into your favorite Etfs, and index funds. Especially if you are young. Long term historically it is a winners strategy and 90% of actively managed funds or portfolios underperform the s&p. Bear market are a great opportunity to accumulate more at a lower price for net worth gains. I'm up 28% with over $290k in gains from the Q4. You have to keep diversifying well enough if you must stay up in this market. just because the overall market is down, doesn't mean every stock is down and vice versa.

The beauty of this method is that You don't give out funds here that's the ideal for this system. you have control over your funds and Can as well opt out anytime. I made a mistake of listening to someone else and panic sold during the Christmas crash about 3 years ago. Huge mistake. I ended up buying them all back at higher cost. Just invest. If it crashes then you get the stocks cheaper. Investing for the long term is always a win and Crashes means opportunities.

We wait for a ctash. Sure we might get santa rally over dumb euphoria that inflation went down a smidge. The fact remains the yield curve has been dedply inverted all year. That never gets a soft landing. People haven't refid in 6 months. For over 10 years thats been the main source of consumer spending. This will all show in q2 - 4 earnings and will cause recession. Its ok to start positions if youd like but dont go heavy on them yet.

2008 Recession was from 2007-2009. It was officially announced a "recession in December 2008" the stock market continued to fall until March 2009. That's 4 months of downtrend after the official announcement. I believe your info is incorrect.

be careful to invest a lot when a stock is at an all time high, ignore anything that sounds too good to be true or promising unrealistic returns. it's better to stick to honest and profitable companies and add to your savings consistently over time instead of investing everything at once. also, don't be blinded by short term losses if you did your research try to just stick to your plan and keep saving like usual, a lot of people stop investing and pull out their money when they see the red numbers but this is often a mistake, don't lose sight of the long term goals you have with the money you save.
