Thx for another great segment, James! For the past few months, I’ve been thinking BTC is entering middle age, wherein the violence of the drawdowns AND the upside spikes might be dampened by the broad adoption now taking place. Although this may temper the upside estimates for this cycle (we may even be breaking out of cycle dynamics as the prevailing price motivator), the global liquidity and finite supply factors will still push price upward over time. And once someone finds a way to combine video games with crypto they will make so much money. Imagine a game the size of Fortnite or Grand Theft Auto doing traffic on your blockchain...

I love you james! But: There's always one dimension missing in your comparisons, and that is actualy use case categories. Yes, Solana runs 60% of DEX transactions currently while ETH remains with 12. BUT: Most solana transactions are meme trades, whereas ETH dominates 80% (!!) of the defi market (so...actual products). ETH is still a HUGE /the biggest playground with all its L2s. But still love you ❤

If I dont remember wrong Solana is actually larger then ETH in defi now also. I hold ETH before also but remember to not marrie any coin. ETH are old tech now and the L2 on ETH dont contribute to ETH either but only cannibabalize the chain. Greetings

If policy makers achieve the right balance (not excessive printing of money which rises inflation way too high, causing unnaceptable inflation like Germany did in 1920s, which is the preferred method against the other balancing acts) a deleveraging isn’t so damatric, growth is slow but debt burdens go down. That’s a beautiful deleveraging. When incomes begin to rise borrowers appear more credit worthy -> lenders start giving money again -> able to borrow more, spend more. Eventually the economy starts to grow again. It can be horrible if handled incorrectly, badly, but if handled well it will eventually solve the problem. It takes around 10 years, hence the lost decade. Don’t have debt rise faster than income. Debt burdens will crush you. Don’t have income rise faster than productivity you will become uncompetitive. Do all you can do to rise your productivity. In the long run is what matters most.
