The investigative journalists behind ‘Clown World’, Matt Shea and Jamie Tahsin, join James O'Brien to reflect on Nigel Farage’s admission that he spread Andrew Tate’s false claims about the Southport attacker's identity.
In this interview they break down the ‘pyramid’ of Andrew Tate followers, and highlight the 'international network of men that have learnt how to groom women'.
In August 2024, police officers in Romania carried out raids at the home of Andrew Tate, who is awaiting trial on charges of human trafficking, rape and forming a criminal gang to sexually exploit women.
Andrew Tate, 37, and his brother Tristan, 36, both former kickboxers and dual British-US citizens who have amassed millions of social media followers, were originally arrested in 2022 near Bucharest along with two Romanian women.
Romanian prosecutors formally indicted all four last year.
They have denied the allegations.

I don't think you are understanding the whole picture. Andrew Tate is all those things and more. The guy is basically evil. Also, he is intelligent, insightful, and occasionally honest in a way that young men crave. He does promote responsibility and self care, and very often, young boys are only getting negative messages about their role in the world from the adults around them and society as a whole. Andrew has filled the gap that we as a society have failed our young men and boys. If you want less Andrew Tates, we have to change how we treat young men and boys as a society. To be clear, I am NOT defending Tate in the following point. I think people in this position should be very careful making flippant comments like he’s worse than the taliban. There will be young men who wind up watching this and this is a really important opportunity to comprehensively point out everything that is wrong with him and that cult. And hyperbole like that which by anyone’s standards, just isn’t accurate, may well turn these young men off of this really important and otherwise excellent hit-piece. Maybe (hopefully) I’ve got that wrong. I believe the greatest politician we have in the UK is Jeremy Corbyn. Is he fighting against something that does not even exist? On April 26, judge ordered the trial to be started. Tates appealed on the same day. Why? Don't they want their assets back? It should be an easy acquittal if there is no evidence.

Andrew Tate in the grand scheme of things isn't as significant as the social and politicial climate which created the 'need' for a man such as him. Listening to Tate made me realise that the pain of my condition is acceptable to go through because I can still provide for my family regardless. Life can be mostly pain. Men and young men are being marginalised and categorised together as bad. Young men are the most likely to commit suicide. Who out there is providing substance to young men and their lifes? Wow, if these allegations are true, Tate is in serious trouble. But, then again, when one takes a closer look at all these men, they are almost always 100% men, something always smells funny! Take Tate for example, how did he get rich so quickly, and he was always boasting about his wealth, another sign of insecurity. He was always ready to bore us silly with his opinions. Then there are those who just have to interview him, not once but twice at least, feeding off his fame and Notoriety. And inadvertently or otherwise, increasing his fame and theirs, which invariably increases the number of his converts and wealth and viewers for the interviewer. These two different groups thrive on each other's support, both benefiting, and the loser here, as always, are the paying public. As for the guys who pay for Tate' services, what can I say, even as a teenager, Tate' "Courses", would have smelt fishy to me! The same goes for our politicians, surely it's obvious that most of them are not to be trusted, Suella with talk about immigrants, Kemi and her "validity" issues, etc. When the electorate (adults) are so easily woodwinked, can you blame young men, when they are led astray by Tate. If Andrew is guilty of the allegations against him, I hope he goes to jail for a long time. There is no greater crime apart from Treachery and Racism, than stealing from your fellow man.
