I own a rental property in Dolton and regret buying it 100%. In 2020 there was a lot of investor activity in this are due to the affordability and large amounts of distressed homes. When interest rates went up it totally killed affordability and I now would never touch a property in that area. My property taxes have shot up. The property was appraised for 140k and my tax bill is a bit over 8k/year. There is a lot of active inventory and with all the corruption, crime, taxes, and interest rates, Dolton is in for a rough ride.

I actually met Tiffany Henyard in 2015 at her burger restaurant in Calumet City and she contacted my office for a business lloan to refinance her business because she was in the process of losing the business. I tried to help fund her but she didn't qualify based on her credit and I felt compassion for her being a younger lady in business and unfortunately, Tiffany manipulated me and unfortunately I introduced her to a business lady I know and she agreed to loan Tiffany $10,000.00 for her business and Tiffany never to this day paid the business lady back her $10,000.00 loan. The business lady I know who loaned Tiffany Henyard $10,000.00 had no choicr but to come after me for a loan that Tiffany Henyard vowed to pay back but she never paid it back even to this day. Tiffany Henyard seems to be a narcissist and shes extremely a street person. Mayor Tiffany and her good squad run that town like some modern-day gangster. She fancies herself as the fictional criminal thug, Nino Brown (New Jack City). She even started a city meeting dressed like her hero, Nino. Then berating her city trustees by yelling, "Don't know one know anything?" over and over. She runs the city meetings like some tyrant sitting on a throne while deflecting every question concerning her spending the city's money. Now, the bank is threatening repo of the police cars... The citizens already tried to oust this broad and failed on some technicality. But their voices were heard clearly and in return, Mayor Henyard just doubled down and keeps deflecting responsibility.
