What confused me as I tried completing this on my own was if we make up the numbers for dominant and recessive alleles, or if we figure out the percent of dominant and recessive alleles for a certain trait in a population. This is a life saver thank you so much!

+Vyle_Revoke Glad it helped you ... sorry so late in responding (I went on summer vacation), but for others viewing this comment thread, you set the initial dominant / recessive allele frequency then do the calculations to see how they change over generations based on other factors that you manipulate (for example, if you are trying to simulate evolutionary forces)

@Kayley Palmer ... couldn't reply directly to your post (maybe you turned replies off), but I would have you think about the definitions of those two evolutionary forces. What kind of population does genetic drift affect the most? You can definitely show that with this activity (I typically have my students model genetic drift and selection with this model).
