Investigators drain pool at Quinton Simon's home as search for missing toddler continues

Investigators used a pump to drain the swimming pool in the backyard of Quinton's grandparents' home. That pool and this home are two of the places Chatham County Investigators and federal agents are searching again.

I find it odd that the mom texted the babysitter to inform her that she would not be babysitting him that day, kind of nonchalant , and then texting her later to ask if she had seen him . Then the babysitter goes to their house to help look for him , but they act like they don't want her help .. One of the parents did this and they are covering for each other .

The grandparents had custody of the 2 other children. They lived out of state but immediately came back to check on Baby Quinton. It was stated on another news channel that the Mom was on drugs. Called the babysitter at 5:30 am not to come babysit Quinton. But the parents didn’t call police until 9-9:30 am that he was missing. 💔💔

So she canceled daycare at 5:30 am that morning, right before she allegedly finds him missing. Suuuuurrreeee. I became a mommy at 16 years old and I did everything to make sure my baby had a good life. I had my second at 19 and my third at 26. I would do everything for my babies. They are the most precious gift I've gotten from God.

How dirty is the pool that they had to drain the pool to find a body? The babysitter did a video stated that the mother called to cancel the regular babysitter that morning around 5:30 am. Something is off with the grandma who had legal custody of the kids yet the little boy was living with his mother and boyfriend and being cared for by a babysitter during the day. Whats going on with the grandma asking for child support? The grandmother also busted into the babysitters home accusing her of selling the little boy.... Something is not right about the grandma or the mother. Hard to tell who is telling the truth. I thinking it the grandma or the daughter who did something to this little boy.

Didn't they say Quinton would not be there? Isn't that when the boyfriend was getting ready for work. So they are awake, the boyfriend is getting ready for work and they already know the child will not need the babysitter that he always needs. Did they say the boyfriend left at 6am for work? If the child was dead which it sounds like he was dead by 5.29am then it would make sense that the boyfriend would have taken the body of the child with him in order to hide it away from the home. Then 3 hours later asking if she had seen the child (not sure why they waited 3 hours or if would need time for anything like trash running somewhere unless he hid the body in a freezer somewhere. For some reason people sometimes think that no one will check there). I am betting they did not want the sitter to help them look as there may have been a blanket missing or some other item that the babysitter would have noticed. This is all just uneducated guesses, and opinions of what "could have" happened if the parents were involved. It sounds like they were in a very stressful situation and maybe with all the stress factors something might have happened.

There are so many red flags, and we know who they lead to! We have no idea what occurred, or where the mother went before canceling on the babysitter. Baby Quinton could be anywhere. A normal Mom would be on camera, hysterically pleading for his return. Going out of her mind kind of frantic behavior. Unable to rest, out there looking everywhere. I was like that when my cat escaped. I knocked on every door with flyers and I didn’t rest until someone called that they found her! Eight days I hunted and talked to people. If this was my little boy, I’d tear through houses to find him. I would not be able to do anything else, but hunt for him. But she already gave him up. She was sleeping while he was up and in the playpen, by himself? With the door unlocked? Lord, she doesn’t deserve to have kids. Why did she bother? Lying on her back doesn’t make her qualified to be a Mom. It would help if women like this were sterilized so their sluttiness doesn’t traumatize and kill innocents.

The grandmother had custody…so the daughter was unfit…it was the grandmothers job at this point. She was that baby’s legal guardian…but it sounds like the babysitter was raising him. The grandmother was also evicting them, even the children? …how can you evict children you have custody over? She also went after child support from her 22 year old daughter. It’s all very sad. I think the bf/mother sold him or worse? Either way, the mother cancelled the sitter at 5:30 am and didn’t call police until 9:40.

Need to check inside of car(s) and trunk also. Read about a child that went missing, that a week later found in family car trunk, that child had crawled in open trunk and closed it from inside, then could not reopen. Check neighbors vehicles also.

This case reminds me of little 10 month old Lisa Irwin who went missing in 2011 in Kansas City, MO. Her mom and boyfriend said someone came into the house and took her. A cadaver dog alerted to someplace in the home, but she was never found. The parents must have hidden her body really well and far off.

The first motive I've heard was in this video. Mom didn't want to pay child support for 2 kids. That's my opinion. A 20 month old doesn't just disappear and if he was abducted why didn't they take the other 2. Why was the babysitter told she didn't need to babysit that day. This is off way off. Someone who knew he was being abused and was perhaps angry that NOTHING was being done about it? The babysitter DID state that the whole neighborhood knew he was being neglected by both the gramma and the parents. Just an idea to look into.

No. If he was really abducted, mother would not call the sitter at 5:30 am. She would have called the police frantically. She called the Sitter first, told police she saw him at 6 am. Then why cancel the sitter before that?

This is so heartbreaking. I know there is so much LE can't tell us but, I pray that some of their neighbors had door cams. and that they were caught on cameras throughout their city etc. The pool must of been really dirty and if ( I hate to think about it) he was in there I know for a fact that K9's can smell underwater. So, either they got a hit from one of the k9's and are draining the pool or they are covering all their bases. Then if he was in there the mom would say "oh, he must of gotten out and fell in the pull and drowned." BS. There's no doubt in my mind she's behind it and deep down I know she's going to get caught. It's a matter a time. I pray that precious baby is okay.

I wouldn't be so quick to not suspect the babysitter. She's seems to be a 'need to be needed' type. Just a thought, but what if the parents text her not to babysit cause they needed a break from her!? Maybe she's obsessed with baby Q? She said herself she never reported anything she claims she saw happening, why not? She could've thought she'll be shutoff from baby Q with the eviction, custody, child support issues happening. Then the text not to babysit pushed her over the edge. Boyfriend goes to work. Mom still asleep. Babysitter snatches him? Mom wakes up and finds baby Q missing. Her first thought, overbearing babysitter took him, that's why she called and asked if she'd seen him. Also would explain why family refused babysitter's help to find him. Even a druggie (as mom is being described) would know it'd look suspicious to refuse babysitter's offer to help, if mom was truly guilty. Cops may have advised parents not to speak publicly so they don't tip off babysitter that she's a suspect. Would also explain grandma's reaction when she went to the babysitter's house. The blessing would be if this hypothesis is true 🙏 it'd mean the babysitter thinks she's 'saving' baby Q, and she has him hidden and safe🙏🙏🙏 Praying he's found

When parents thugging and drugging, it is most likely they sold Quentin for drugs and/or to payoff their drug debt. Government programs that subsidize women breeding babies without financial means has resulted in children being used as chattel - born into poverty, into harms' way. The "mother" doesn't have legal custody of Quinton and an older sibling. She only has custody of a baby girl. The grandma has custody of two of the grandkids. She left to work out of town for a while and left the two grandkids in the care of their "mother", her daughter.

Mother called Babysitter at 5:30 am but at 6 am he was still in his playpen? Such BS. The boy is dead, poor little baby. Mother is covering her tracks. Boyfriend or mother killed him. Saddest thing to know your own parents did you in. Don't waste time searching. Separate the family and put them thru the grilling at the police station till they tell you what they did with little Quenton. My heart breaks for that sweet little boy. Once that call came thru that early for the sitter, you know he was dead.

They all live in the same house together. Grandma went to Illinois for 3 weeks for work. The boys (and baby girl)were supposed to be with the babysitter, who lives very close, during the daytime, and then just go back home to sleep. Supposedly, the BF had actually been making an earnest effort to be responsible with the parental duties, probably because he is the father of the baby girl. At first, Grandma wanted the kids to stay with the sitter full time while she was gone, but then decided to let the kids go home in the evenings to the comfort of their own beds, and to give her daughter a chance to figure out how to be a mom. She told the sitter that she, herself, had been a terrible mom, in and out of jail, drugs, etc…and had many regrets, even had her children taken into protective custody at some point. She said she wanted her daughter to do better, blah, blah, blah. Her son was sent to prison when he was 19 for manslaughter/murder. The whole family is clearly very abusive and dysfunctional. It may sound crass, but the little boy is probably in a much better place now. He was too sweet to live in such horror.

why do they have to drain the pool...you should be able to see the bottom easily...is it so dirty you can't even see the bottom?
