Well, I just made my first investment in VGS after watching your videos for the past 3 weeks over & over again. Now I know, why I invested & how this investment works. Thank you so much Sanjee!

Great tips Sanjee. I knew all this about starting early in my 30s when I first started earning and I did start, but ended up pulling everything out to buy my business and my home. I guess those were investments too. Now I'm about to hit 50 and am beginning to get back on top again. Thanks for sharing your mistakes with us!

Sanjee - you have advocated 4/5 ETFs as the ones to consider. If one can afford 2k a month and say we want to buy in to all 5 ETFS - how would you plan it from a dollar cost averaging? i.e. the time between buying the same ETF could be 4-5 months apart.
@dmm66712 жыл бұрын
Why won t you put 2k: 4 or 5 each month?

Hey Sanjee, If I invest in Vanguard EFTs each month will I still be eligible for a 50% tax offset (for individuals) at the end of the year? Would be super helpful if you made a video regarding how taxation works with regards to dividend or capital gains?? thanks and superb video as always
@DavidSweetnam2 жыл бұрын
Totally disagree regarding not investing in individual stocks. If you have $100,000 in an Australian ETF, then about 10% of that (more or less) will be in BHP, but if you have $10000 in BHP directly i dont see the problem. Plus you’ll get the full franking benefits, and no capital gain or loss issues until you sell. Also let’s say you have $100,000 in A200, then that’s about $25,000 in the top banks. Add it all up - your investment in an Australian ETF will generally mean you have about half in the big banks and the miners. Is this what people want? Why can’t they sprinkle their money across their favourite companies and do their own weighting?

Hey Sanjee, i just sold an investment property after reading barefoot investor, I have quite a bunch of cash and want to invest, was thinking and have researched into keeping things simple ie A200, VTS, VEU by evenly splitting my profits into these shares. I know you're not a financial advisor but would you give a thumbs up or thumbs down to this comment?
