Hey that was really great video to know the diff. between two but I have question reagrding the placement that you have placed 3000+ students in IB field. Can you please let me know what proportion of students got into front office IB companies vs KPO based IB company. As I am also currently working with KPO based Investment banking reputed firm, just want everyone to know here true reality as in India, job opportunities in front office IB firms is very less..... As long as you don't carry MBA degree from Tier 1 or any professional qualification and done your MBA from Tier 2 or Tier 3(what most of the people do here), then what's the point of doing IB related course from your Institute? Since, those Banks anyways won't hire you with that.... Please make it clear, it is very confusing what you claim about your track record.. Thanks

Banks like Credit suisse ,goldman,bank of america pay 35lpa(fixed salary)+ upto 100% bonus at IIM ABCL and XLRI for front end IB analyst roles. Other than MBA, I think only CFA L1 has not much value, CFA level 3+ a tier 1 undergrad college can get one into IB. And CA rank holders are also seen in IB. Also IB hire people from tier 1 engineering colleges.

If I can have cfa for level 3 but no mba is that enough for a job in a investment bank .. or do I really need a Mba ..

impossible to get front end roles.front end roels as it is is rare even in tier 1 mba colleges to be honest. You can try for backend research type roles.

Who told you that IB people's get 35lakh plus it's a completely myth or either you don't in now to the reality. I m working in Bank of America GIB Team , here a fresher hardly get 8-9 lakh CTC , if someone is having a experience of 1-2 year then he can expect max to max 15-17 lakh ... No one get more than 17 lakh ..even if you r from IIM or overseas University

I think equity resurch is wast of time.i presume it after watching performance of mutual funds. In long run most mutual funds can not beat index .so probability of profit by index fund is more than mutual funds. So I think equity research is time pass they made mony through commission .

Hi It is always said that one should aim for joining GS, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley etc. But as per Venture Intelligence League table data i have seen most of PE and M&A transaction are done by Boutique Investment Banks, also Avendus and EY are at top, I dont find the names of JP morgan, Goldman Sachs. Do global banks really offer front office roles.
