I enjoy investing in closed-end funds that offer monthly dividends. The key strategy is to hold these investments long-term while reinvesting the monthly dividends and purchasing additional shares whenever possible. This approach is convenient because closed-end funds are traded on the stock market like regular stocks. Following this strategy could build a portfolio that generates between $50,000 to $70,000 in dividend income.

It surprises me why everybody gets really worked up about recession and inflation data. Inflation has always existed, and people have been using investments to beat the inflation. The stock market return, for example, always beats inflation. I heard of someone who invested $121k last October, and has grown the portfolio by more than $400k. I need recommendations that can give me similar return.
@antoniaribeiro80734 ай бұрын
Inflation has not always been around there was a 15 year period of deflation. Yes as prices went down income went up. Once you go to Fiat currencies with no tangible backing then inflation is an intentional factor. Patience, Cash on hand & Short Term Investments are key

True. I first came across investing in the market in 2019. Already stashed about $480k in savings then, and the free money from the Government was pouring in, increasing inflation rate. I just got an advisor and kept the money there, just because I didn't want to keep the value of the money depreciating in the bank. Tbh, it's the best investment decision I've made since then.

Tom Lee...What a dishonest guy. He is all over the map. His "be cautious for the next 8 weeks" means: be fearful of a crash. He was just preaching the rotation to small caps. Anyone who followed that call is in the hole, or perhaps they alredy panicked sold in Aug? And now he says 7-10% down on the broad market? That is probably just the first leg down. He is telling you to buy the next big dip, as if there is another high coming. Maybe. But what is more likely: a new high or a new low? Long-term investors should be wary of the next "buying opportunity." Don't be the next bag holder. Publicly, he got 2008-2009 wrong. His public call on 2024-2025 will be majorly wrong too. I wonder how "short" he is in his personal portfolio (or what percentage he is holding in cash and Tbills).

I've been trading by myself. I'm not really happy with what's going on, just few weeks ago I lost about $7,000 in a particular trade. Can you help me out or at least advise me on what to do?
