Hi I just watch this video and as informative as it was it was not done correctly. Flooded the sidewalk with water. He did not show I light leaf blower blowing off the dust off the top of the bricks. Therefore it’s going To leave a polymeric haze on top. Not trying to be critical but that is definitely the wrong way to add the water before blowing

Light spray wait 20 minutes medium spray then wait an hour or two sooner if hot sunny weather. Never French like in the video unless you are using (Easy Sand) brand which is not really a polymeric sand, it uses drenching to achieve activation. I’m a DIYer doing my own work for 20 plus years

Great video, but mainly on what not to do. No proper grading, you can see water pooling. Poly sand was not agitated into the joints, but rather just brushed into. Poly sand dust was not blown off the surface. And finally the paver should have been misted for 30 seconds, foaming of water is a bad sign. i suspect the bond between the joints are weaker due water saturation.

Wow you missed sweeping the excess and then using a Blower to remove all top level little sand particles your broom left behind, Like you said, once that sand dries its stays right on the pavers. Also you didn't hose it an an again to get off excess sand and then come back and spray mist it again removing an top sand on stones before it dries on stone. Any After Video? I would be curious to see how these came out with you missing a few steps including compounding sand into joints so they can get deep down the joints and then do another sand sweet. Im curious how long it would last with things gowning between them if joints are fully sealed.

Please do not soak the stones like this, and do not do this on a day when it might rain, even a little bit. You'll want to take the extra step of tamping the dry sand into the joint gaps before sprinkling the water, which you should also do pretty much the opposite of the way shown here. You should have the hose spray very minimal and aimed upward, so it "rains" down vertically, and gently. As soon as you see a puddle forming, you've gone too far with the water.

Dear Vincent, thanks for your feedback but your are incorrect about this particular polymeric sand, you do not tamp anything in the joints, the pavers are not flat, the instructions clearly state to sweep into the joints after you get any dirt off the pavers and there was no cutting on the pavers directly. Perhaps in the cheaper types of polymeric solutions you would need to tamp it.
