The difference of gains between one percent paying for fund manager for even 12 percent CAGR over a period of 30 years is a staggering 36 percent. One has to learn to manage their own money. As a fund manager you may get offended by people managing their own money. CA gets offended when a person says they can file their own taxes, Doctor gets offended if they refer some medicine or when ask for second opinion likewise fund managers get offended when client give suggestions. At the end it's the customers choice and how he perceives the idea of managing money. we all know the restrictions fund managers have in investing the pooled money. For a layman without any knowledge fund managers are ideal. But one who has intrest to manage his own money and actively working towards it will always achieve better than any find manager. Even losers make money in bill market. All said and done it is again a known fact that 85 percent of the fund managers fail to beat the index over long term. So please. Move on with the world and cater to only who need advise rather than thrusting them.

One think I know or think is sip is best in these market.. as u cannot do manual investment as market is going up daily.. and when falling also. Its difficult to invest as emotions come in between.. basically in market we should be emotion less. Same a trading..
