I wear Invicta Pro Divers. I can find no fault with them. I buy several from Amazon when the price is right and give them to friends and strangers as gifts. I can’t justify five or six thousand dollars for a premium watch. It’s nice to be able to give money to help less fortunate folks with groceries, gas and utilities instead of wearing it on my wrist.

Mine is now 13 years old. It was my third mechanical after 2 Seikos. I wore this sucker through my military time on a Nato strap for about 6 solid years. Then I wore it when I would go out camping, hiking, etc. The date window is chipped, the bezel scratched up along with the crystal, but it still chugs along just fine. Wore it all week for fun at the river. Great tool watch.

15 year ago I picked one of these up for 70 bucks, Wore it to work, wore it to the beach, the pool, yard work.....etc....it never leaked and it still keeps good time. This watch is a beast for the price...

I own the Pro diver in blue. It is my first foray into automatics, with the idea that I would upgrade to something better if I liked it. After two years I still have not found adequate reason to replace it as my daily. My only complaints with the watch are the excessive branding, rattly metal strap and the inadequate lume. A Nato strap took care of the rattles. Other than that I cannot fault it. In terms of accuracy I lucked out, I get about 30 seconds drift per month. There were a few options for starting out with automatics, but I eventually settled on the Pro diver to annoy the watch snobs.

they are mostly annoyed because they see you in public with it, initially think it looks good, they get a close up look, realize it isnt a rolex, and then they stick their nose up for wasting their time and energy thinking, 'that watch looks good, what is it? Invicta, oh nevermind.'

What whatch was made first in Switzerland and still makes swiss movement?? INVICTA, thank you , Rolex is just hyped ... Even breitling is automatic and still over priced some of your expensive brands makes automatic with Seiko movement and they don't tell you .. that's why I rather have the originals Which Is Seiko And Invicta, when you talk Seiko And Invicta you're talking history and good stories ..

I was a Invicta "hater" until I saw the Pro Diver and a few other models. Having only ever seen the bulky and gawdy models I was like....this stuff is trash. Then I saw the Pro Diver and watched a few videos. I bought four.

I purchased mine (8926ob) for $64 several weaks ago and have been wearing it dayly ever since. I have a number of "atomic" clocks, including a cassio waveceptor, which I use to set the Invicta. I am really enjoying this watch. Mechanical, no batteries needed. Mine is gaining about 5 sec/day so far, which I understand is OK for a mechanical watch.

I still have many invictas, With Myiota, Seiko, and sellita sw200. They all have excellent quality, if you take care of them they will take care of you. My Mom had one of the original Swiss made for many years in the Canal Zone (Panama). She never had any problems with it. She replaced the leather strap a few times, but the actual watch never had any problem.

I had one and loved the look and feel. Lots of compliments too. It lost about 40 seconds a day and eventually quit all together after about 2 years. It was the Miyota movement. I guess I will try one more time with the Seiko movement. I hate using my phone as a watch.

It was also my first mechanical/automatic watch I got it 3 years ago after a lifetime of digital watches (I'm wearing it now) and I've had no problems with it still keeps pretty good time it loses about 12 seconds a day and I still wear it often and it suits all occasions.. One thing I don't like is the cyclops but if I ever change the crystal I can remedy that.. All the invicta hate is just snobbery imo, I'll never have the cash for a Rolex so shelling out for this was a great investment and well worth the money..

You make some valid points, particularly when you spotlight all the other watches clearly inspired by the Rolex Sub My issue with the Pro Diver is the "Invicta" name obnoxiously carved into the side of the case, which is an assault on the eyes. The Invicta 1953 eschews this inexplicable detail. For that reason alone I'd be more inclined to buy the 53.

I never really pay attention to the Invicta on the side of mine guess it just don't bother me. But out of curiosity if Rolex was to emblazon their name on the side would people be so inclined to call it tacky?

@@chadchambliss4949 Wholly different situation. Considering they dominate the market, adding that to the side would have less of a negative than Invicta doing it. But it begs the question, would they do that in the first place? Their traditions with the sub date back to 1953 so differing sensibilities for sure then. Not likely they would add that now as one of the things that has put them where they are is having a sense of style and class associated to the brand. Having said that, they have added the same embossing to the current subs around where the chapter ring would be. Decidedly less tacky there though, and I suspect added like that under the crystal to lend it an appearance of authenticity. I'm sure it took no time at all for the counterfeiters to add it to theirs. 🙄🙄🤣🤣

About 15 years ago I had an invicta watch. It was a quartz watch. I used the watch as a work watch and wore it for about 6 years or so. I never really took care of it and didn't think about it much. I knocked it around. Finally it died. I really abused it. I didn't buy another after that just because I sort of forgot about it. I am like you-I don't like gaudy huge watches. I agree that the Invicta watch can be a very dependable watch for daily wear. No doubt as I owned one. I wouldn't buy a Pro-diver just because there are tons of alternative watches to choose from but that doesn't mean the Pro-diver is not a good watch. For the money its probably a great watch. Not everyone can afford a swiss watch.

I have a Seiko 5 but prefer my invicta because the Seiko seems a little small on my wrists and the invicta fits amazing. I totally agree invicta is the best watch under $100. Great video

The rotating bezel can be used to time events, but also to indicate compass directions when using the sun, or hours in another time zone.

I have had my invicta steel/gold automatic for 10 years, never had to do anything to it and it still works fine for me even after leaving it lying around for months on end I just shake it and away I go, no issues

The better alternative to an Invicta Pro Diver, is another Invicta Pro Diver in another colour scheme 😁 FYI: not all of the NH35A eccenter winding wheels are painted yellow! I have one in yellow, one in plain metal, just engraved with Seiko's TMI markings. It depends what in factory and when they were made

I got a 9094 as a watch to practice modding on. (I really didn't like the Invicta dial, and the bracelet even less.) That being said, even after multiple dial changes it still is working just fine, even though it looks nothing like the original. It is a fun watch to wear, and I know I can switch the NH35 movement at any time if I wanted to. Talking about the SNK, the finish of the watch is better, sometimes distinctly better based on the time of SNK you get. The movement of the SNK (7s26) is however inferior to the NH35.

My Invicta is the quartz. I choose it over the automatic because it is under 40mm. I can let this watch set for a month and pick it up and it is going. It is my cheap watch. The rest of my watches are Vintage Omega watches which at manual wind or automatic.

Good questions! 1 - I think the watch keeps great time. I used to wear it every single day for a few years and the watch was very accurate! Now that more time passed and I got some other watches and constantly rotate them, I don't wear the Pro Diver as much but so far I have zero complaints about the movement as it still keeps great time! 2 - In this video I am wearing a Rolex Submariner. My two favorite beaters are the Invicta pro diver mechanical automatic, and the Casio Duro which is Quartz only but has a analog dial. Both watches are very durable even tho neither has a sapphire crystal. For the money you simply cannot beat either of these watch’s. I’m not a dress watch guy. I’m blue collar all the way. I work hard, I play hard, and I abuse anything on my wrist. That’s why I would never own a Rolex, Tudor or Omega. No one in their right mind would subject those expensive brands to the kind of abuse I dish out to my watches on a daily basis. Most people don’t buy a diver to go diving. They buy it because divers are tough and reliable. As stated several times in this video, it’s all about durability. The NH35 movement is a Seiko designed 3rd party movement used by cottage industry brands all over the world. It’s a reliable movement. Invicta saw the value in the the NH35 movement and chose it for all of their mechanical dive watches.

I agree with you 100% about this Invicta Pro Diver version. It's indeed an outstanding value for the money you pay! I have owned mine (exactly like yours) for almost 7 years without alterations and I am still happy. I service most of my watches every 2nd year, and there has never been a single issue with this particular watch. I also own the Invicta Pro Diver 99370B, which is a much superior version compared to the Invicta Quartz Pro Dive version (on this video). Sure thing, I paid $349.00 for it 5 years ago on sale. However, it has the great Swiss Sellita Automatic Movement , a Flame Fusion Christal, 200 Meters Water Resistance, very Solid Links. Additionally, I only loose 2 seconds every 2 weeks (which is what my two Rolex Submariners 16610 - Circa 1998, respective Circa 2000 do). It's simply amazing for any automatic movemen at this price range! I am just saying; if you want a truly great, solid authomatic diver's watch that comes close to a Rolex Submariner in looks & performance, for a couple of hundred $$ more..., simply get this Invicta - Pro Diver 99370B! You will have fantastic watch for a lifetime! It's truly a steal for the price! This watch is the closest thing, again, in LOOKS & PERFORMANCE compared to a Rolex Submariner! Trust me, I have been a high-end watch collector for 30+ years. Check it out!! Besides, I simply love Invicta diver watches! God Bless!

The Invicta pro diver was my very first automatic watch that my mom bought me for my birthday years ago and I absolutely love it! I unfortunately wore it to the beach and the crystal needs to be cleaned it’s fogged up a bit and the hands stick a bit even when I shake it to move energy I haven’t worn it for a while. I’ve been wanting it fixed to look like new and work like new but haven’t because I’m thinking it will be expensive o repaire

I completely agree. The watch that introduced me to automatic watches is an Invicta pro diver. My first was purchased in 2009 and came with the Miyota movement. It's still running great today. When they changed the movement over to the hacking NH35A, I had to buy another one. Even though I now own watches 100x the price of the good old pro diver, I still proudly wear my 8926OB any day. I've done all things to my watch, such as swapping various aftermarket sub bezel inserts, slapped on leather bands and nato straps; it's amazingly versatile. Last month when I went on a cruise, I re-lubricated the crown and caseback gaskets and took it with me to use in the swimming pool and hot tub with confidence. I believe many watch snobs bash the Invicta pro diver because it can do so much for so little $$$. Just like you, I highly doubt anyone could find another comparable 200m dive watch with what is essentially a Seiko 4R35 movement inside at this $75 price point from an established wristwatch manufacturer.

Roman In my experience,most Grand Divers are 300 meters Water Resistant while most Pro Divers 200 meters Water Resistant,Most Grand Divers are thicker and Heavier than Pro Divers but BOTH start at about 38 millimeters Diameter now if Automatic!(some quartz proDivers start at 37 millimeters!

My first Pro Diver actually has a Miyota movement in it! It also has the scalloped bezel al a Omega. Still a very cool watch. I have an all gold one with black dial and the two-tone silver/gold with the amazing blue dial. It is hard to find another dial with a prettier blue and sunburst!

£144 or $180 on UK Amazon which is well over-priced right now. Got one from Amazon for £60 but it had a dodgy balance wheel spring. Couldn't be bothered with returns. Thrown it in my watch spares and repairs box for other Invictas i own.

Loves: The overall build quality, the Seiko NH35A-style movement, 120 points of articulation on the dial, the price, it has hacking, the crown, very accurate, display back looks great, 200M water resistance. Hates: Too much branding (Invicta engraving on the side, the Invicta logo on the second hand AND the face (it's just too much), the deep-dish bezel, indices are small, weak lume, the second-hand marker sits too low on the hand and intrudes upon the indices. That being said, it's a regular in my rotation.

I cringe when I hear the name but that’s because I still see the giant sewer hatch looking watches I used to see in the display case at Sears back when they were still around. Has anyone used one of these in water seen alot of reviews saying even though the dial says 200m it is a 50m watch and people have had condensation appear on the dial after going swimming while wearing the watch.

Im thinking of a brand that cameout called parnis and there gmt stainless watches and clamed to have a saphire cryistal.i belive there around 70bucks maybe cheaper.i dont like the movements low budget seagul or something chines with a number.but you could up grade the movement to a swiss eta movment incresing the price a few hundred dollers or more.

I have the SS case with orange bezel with black dial, white numerals. It's a bit small on my very large wrist...but...as an artist, I need a watch that I can wear without worrying about getting paint on it. I wear an automatic Grand Diver everyday when I know I am not painting. I have 4 of them, and with my 23 cm wrist...9 inches....a 47 mm watch looks normal on my wrist. I am also 6'6" and I am the size of a NFL lineman! The last time that I was normal sized was when I was 14 years old. I was only 6'1" and 210 lbs! I have a wide variety of watches....and I do have a few 50 mm plus watches. I find them fun to wear!

That’s a good question. I haven’t had any interaction with the Pagani Design watches so I wouldn’t be able to say. One thing I can say is that the ProDiver feels less of a Submariner and more like Submariner inspired with its own identity Pagani Design looks 1:1 like Submariner. I would say I’d choose the ProDiver over the Pagani Sub But I think I wouldn’t be the best one to say since I owned the ProDiver for 5 years and never owned a Pagani watch One thing I can say - you’ll never go wrong with the ProDiver!

This debate about the "rolex wanabe" is plain stupid. Rolex created a great diving tool, the Submariner. A great design, perfected with the "pepsi" GMT. They set a reference design for diver watches. So, every watchmakers used that great design. It's not "wanabe", it's logic. And the hard bezel is a feature. A good bezel is a hard bezel, you don't want it to turn in the heat of the action and scramble your numbers...

Vostok is a better watch. Has the history and has the durability and it is modified by users changing dials, hands, bezels and other items to make it their own. The service interval is 10 years! Plus the fact it is all Russian is simply GANSTA! The Amphibian designers should have been hailed as the greats of the watch industry but because the Swiss are butt hurt they don't like Vostok the People's Watch

Imho the Casio Duro is a better watch, even though it's a quartz movement...That's the part I disagree with the most, saying that a quartz movement is not a good choice lol I'm not quite sure you're fully aware the technology that goes into today's quartz movements.

I Don't believe an Automatic is better than A quartz movement! It depends on what you are using it for ! Any quartz watch is more accurate than the most expensive Automatic watch! Some quartz watches are powered from sunlight and some quartz watches are amazingly accurate!

@@romanmoruz For a start, my personal experience is that I’ve had 2 flood while diving. But they are not iso rated which is why they state 200m instead of 200m Diver. When you are buying something that could save your life, you should be aware of how to use it, 90% of people have no idea how to use a dive watch, and they just want a water proof watch, the 10% that do know how to use it would not buy an invicta, there are far better companies that don’t just blatantly rip-off other brands.

As an example, I picked one of these up for £220 with discount - Solar Scuba Black Divers 200M Mens Watch SNE573P1. I’m a diving instructor and I always take a second device in a dive. I’m also a watch guy and I have many dive rated watches.

"bulky, ugly, stupid, huge watches that nobody seems to like to wear them" those are your words and i'm wondering why you chose those words? i know some people who don't like the large watches simply because they are too heavy for them to comfortably wear, i don't make fun of them because they don't like a big watch or can't handle a big watch. but by choosing the words you used, by extension your saying that about the people who do like those watch styles/sizes. i don't make fun of small watches like 38-40mm watches; that's what some people like. you did give a good review, until you started a short bashing section. i didn't give you a dislike either, i just remained neutral in that not giving you hate because of the short rant you did that i didn't care for. i'm glad you like the pro diver, i have plenty of them.

Thanks for stopping by, btw. People who have big wrists should wear larger watches, for sure. But people who have average size wrist, why would they wear big watches? It doesn’t look good. It’s like when buying shoes, you buy them the right size, not 3 sizes bigger right? As for invicta, when I said that I don’t understand why it gets hate, I meant the pro diver only. I understand why most of the brand gets hate but the pro diver shouldn’t be one of them.

@@romanmoruz in your reply, i understand where your coming from, but, why should people with small wrists not want to wear a big watch if it's what they want and/if it's comfortable? it's the quoted adjectives you used that bothered me the most. my wrist is 7.5" and i comfortably wear 63mm watches all day at work and on the weekends. i also love my pro divers at 40-47mm i wear them because i like them and they are comfortable to me. i think people should wear the size watch they want, that they like and hopefully, that's comfortable on them. thank you for replying.

All I know is that every single Invicta I own has had a perfectly aligned bezel a perfectly aligned chapter ring and my bracelets are adequate for the price that I paid. What I just said is completely opposite for Seiko

I've got mine, six months ago, and let me tell you , this watch found a special place in my heart. Sometimes I dump it for a week or two and wear other watches, but I always come back to it.... Like my first love. Maybe because it came very beautiful, from a very big family of other ugly enormous invicta watches.

Totally agree with this great revue. I own a 1987 Rolex “bluesy” submariner, which is a great watch, but I’m hesitant to wear it out in public due to crime here. I bought the Invicta two-tone blue dial pro diver, and have had it for almost a year and love it! I snorkel with it, and wear it in all conditions. No issues at all. You just can’t find a better watch for this price point.

I bought one two weeks ago at an Invicta shop (yes it exists) here in the Netherlands. To my surprise it holds time more accurate then my five other and much more expensive automatic watches...

I've only had mine for about 2 weeks. The first week it seemed to loose 3 seconds per day consistently, but then I went ahead and wound it hard and took effort to move the auto movement and for this 2nd week it seems to be spot on to a second fast. Very impressed so far.

I got the call from my AD 3 weeks ago and purchased the Rolex Bluesy Sub. I also have the Pro Diver that you’re reviewing. I adore my Rolex but the Pro Diver is an amazing watch for the money. I proudly wear them both!

There is no better watch for the money than the Invicta Pro Diver! Hands down for all those reasons you stated! Everyone can afford the Invicta and they can experience a quality classy automatic timepiece for less than a hundred bucks. The NH35a is one of the most robust and dependable movements ever made, let alone the cost! In fact, I buy them for gifts to friends and family as well!
