I tried this, but using my phone to record audio. It did okay but the sound was distant like I was in a tin can. So you do need high quality recording equipment. Think about a script too, and practice it like you're giving a speech. Don't rush it. Keep natural pauses etc. If you take out a plan with invideo AI. Take your time and play with it using the free version first. Other wise you can blow through your 50 mins of AI quickly if you rush it. Depending on what you're doing and trying to achieve. You can always cancel and get a refund no questions asked.

Great insights! Thank you for sharing with everyone. The only thing I would say is that I've had pretty good success with making mediocre audio sound really good just by running it through something like Descript's studio sound or Adobe's audio enhancer (there are others out there.) I just don't want anyone to think you need thousands of dollars worth of recording equipment to create great content.

Awesome video! Are you able to download just the audio file of the cloned voice itself to use in other another editing softwares?

Thanks. I can't recall if it gives you an option to just download the audio. If not, you could certainly take the MP4 file it gives you into any video editor and separate the audio and video and just delete the video. If you only want to clone your voice and not have the video aspects, using Elevenlabs would be less expensive.

I used the script to video option and embedded my cloned voice to go as the narrator. When the videos was processed and my precious credits were used, I found out that my voice was never used!! Id there a glitch or am going wrong somewhere? Please advise. Many thanks.

It was decent. On the same level as the better voice clones I've tried. Elevenlabs does the best, especially the professional voice clone.

The only way I've found to do it is to use the AI command box (underneath the preview of the video.) If I say "change the voiceover to Bob" it changes it to my cloned voice that I named Bob. Yours would be whatever you named the voice clone you want, which you can find by going to Voices under Plugins on the main Invideo screen. Now, with V2, you can change speakers by scene in the script editor. But it only lets you pick things like Narrator, Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc. and gives you no clue what any of those labels mean. I found that if I fiddled with changing the speaker, even if I just changed the speaker for the first scene to "speaker 1", then typing "change the voiceover to Bob" in the AI command box didn't work. But, if I left the speaker in the first scene set to Narrator, then it works when I type "change the voiceover to Bob" OR "change the Narrator to Bob" in the AI command box. It's weird, and I think it's because there's a place we can't see that Narrator, Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc., are each assigned a voice. It would be better if they just let us see and change that assignment rather than trying to figure out how to get the AI to do what we want. ...in my opinion.

What if I record my voice in different language than English? Will it read english just fine? Also can I make my voice deeper or higher if I want?

You can use one language for the instant voice clone and then generate speech using text of another language but there might be a bit of an accent. There is not a way to adjust pitch (make the voice higher or deeper) when you generate. You might get a slightly different pitch based on the settings sliders - but that would be a side effect and not directly controllable.

I wouldn't use elevenlabs for music vocals. You might check out Uberduck ai or typecast. I covered them in the 2 recent videos I did on text to speech.

No. Voice cloning isn't available on the free tier. The Plus tier (currently $20/mo) includes 2 voice clones.

As @jan_chlad9914 said, voice cloning requires a paid subscription. If you have a paid subscription and it's still not working, something isn't right and I'd suggest you contact support.

Not sure what you mean? You can record your voice on your phone, but you would probably want to run it through an audio enhancement app afterward for the best result.

I believe so. You can have 2 voice clones in the plus plan and 5 in the max plan. I'm the voices page, there's a little trash can icon for each voice. I believe once you delete one, it'll free up the spot.
