Great video man! I have an '04 WRX and I've just ordered my Invidia race exhaust last night in part due to this video! Question for you though. How were you able to launch your car with launch control towards the end without completely dumping the clutch nor riding the clutch and burning it up?

Awesome! You are going to love the way it sounds. As for launching, the trick is to just barely load up the drivetrain before letting the clutch go out all the way. This way, you are less likely to break something. I also have an ACT 6-Puck Clutch and Xtreme Pressure Plate so it has no issues with slipping during launches like this :)

sounds great but i would never spend the cash on invidia. a friend of mine has a 400whp ej257 wrx with full catless invidia system and i have a mildly tuned 02 ej205 with a nameless bellmouth catless downpipe and a spec d catback system that cost me 250 a third less then invidia and everyone that has listened to them says mine sounds better and much louder deep tone. the only thing the cheaper exhaust lack is the welds. its still 304 stainless but i had the welds all filled better. we both run a catless sti uppipe also. invidia is a nice system but over charge for what it is. nameless is also nice but over priced.

Ryan Cyr. yeah they have a nice fitment. if you got the cash to spend then why not haha. my 02 just wasn't worth it for now. but even after i build it i might atick with what i have but add a resignator because it is so loud. stupid loud and drone at 3000 to 3500rpm

I have not. I never liked the way it looked with the baffle in. I've switched to a gimmick motorsports V-Band catback since this video. I did a video on it too! Much better for my daily commute.

Gas Clutch Shift Stock Headers were ported and polished by Grimmspeed with Grimmspeed’s hi-flow crosspipe. So it’s essentially the stock design, just ported and ceramic coated.

There’s a few things I like about the GD wrx over the GD Sti, but only a few. 1. The rear fenders don’t have that flare so you can easily roll / pull your fenders without breaking that piece. 2. I prefer the simple black interior with black carpet instead of blue. The Sti limited models have black interior though which is nice. 3. The ej255 has a slightly lower compression ratio so it’s less prone to detonation than the ej257. That’s it though, the Sti is leaps and bounds better than the wrx in every other way. The 6spd, r180, dccd, brembos, etc are all well worth the extra money.

I have the same exhaust but cant get my subie too have the same deep sound with extra turbo spool sounds like you do. I wonder if its because I have a cobb catted downpipe and not a catless?

Yep a catless downpipe will make the turbo whistle more pronounced. Are you still running a stock up-pipe as well? 02-05 Up-pipes also have cats in them.

jake o'brien yeah the invidia n1 race with the catless downpipe was a bit much on the highway. It wasn’t the worst drone in the world, but it definitely gave me a headache after a longer drive lol. I’ve since switched to a more mild gimmick Motorsports catback. I did a video on that one too if you’re curious.
