Equating Battle Beast to Thanos doesn't hold up. Battle Beast lives for battle. All he wants is a good fight. Thanos is simping for Mistress Death (or whatever he's doing). Battle Beast literally had nothing better to do.

Pretty sure Omni-Man was surprised by Battle Beast when he first saw how strong he was, so at this point in the series, Omni-Man didn't really know how strong BB was.
