Nice reaction. Agreed - that street fight choreography between Eve and her siblings was great. This Atom Eve special shows us (at the end) that when under great mental stress, Eve can bypass her mental block and affect animals as well - specifically humans. She even healed herself. This is a rewritten retcon from how it was told in the Invincible comic series. The comics also did not push the "Eve's Dad is a Real Jerk" theme quite so hard. SOME FYI: With so many superpowered characters created, it is difficult to come up with an original power set. Marvel comics did it before Invincible. Atom Eve has the power set of Marvel Comics Molecule Man (Owen Reece) -- but on a scaled down level. Owen also had a similar mental block against altering life. He eventually overcame that block permanently. Once he did, it made Owen one of Marvel Comics most powerful characters. Will we see the same power boost from Eve? I'm not telling.

1:56 one of the reasons it took me a couple days to finish this video 😂 18:22 she's also not beeing as safe as possible. Multiple of the cars stopped/ destroyed were driving juat before she did so potentially ending/harming the passengers till we get to the high traffic street. Her seeming more OP but more reckless is a great way to show how she learns to be a better hero over time. Love Eve, probably my favorite character ❤

Yep Omni man was gonna kill them since Mark was taken too long to get his powers but his growing empathy and love stoped him

they really went ham on the animation for this episode and that got me really hyped for season 2, but after watching the first half of the second season, I really hope they didn't blow the whole budget on this one episode. I really want the animation be like this for the second half.

This special was a nice surprise, almost makes up for the long wait between seasons 😆. I hope they do similar specials for Rex and Cecil. Highlights of the episode for me: - That extended Lizard League sequence after repeated mentions of them in Season 1. Queen Lizard and Lizard Prince's interaction made me wonder if Nolan and Mark would have had a similar dynamic if Nolan tried raising Mark as a Viltrumite conqueror from the start (probably less of Lizard Queen's passive aggressive emotional abuse and more of physical violence if Mark messed up). - I'm always up for seeing more of the original Guardians and reiterating they were skilled and could have held their own for longer if Nolan hadn't ambushed them. - Honestly that babysitter is top tier. He found a great activity for him and Eve to do that lets him study for school and give Eve a great outlet for her powers and he wouldn't stop praising her which is significant considering how little she gets that from her "dad". - That highway fight sequence was phenomenal! - Loved the animators work at the end showing Nolan's emotional turmoil between his toxic Viltrumite mindset and the guilt he had at feeling that towards Mark and Debbie. - Rest in Power to Lance Reddick (voice of that government agent that wants Eve). Talented performer whose been in a ton of wonderful projects over the years like The Wire, John Wick,

Hey Primate, if you want dark super hero movies, you should check out the Watchmen from 2009, if you haven't already, it's pretty damn heavy, and pretty damn brutal.
