Love how the last breath of air he takes is from the thinnest part of atmosphere he could possibly reside in before pushing on into space. I would normally accuse this of being ill thought out, yet I also feel like it lends itself to how tough a Viltrumite is, physically. They really _don't_ need that much oxygen, so ground level or upper atmosphere, Mark doesn't even notice.

I haven’t read the comics, but from what I can gather from the series, I bet Viltrumites can recycle their oxygen supply from what they have in their lungs. This is probably why Mark needs to go back to the atmosphere after getting the wind knocked out of him by Allen. In other words, humans take in oxygen from the air and convert to CO2. Then plants convert the CO2 in the air to breathable oxygen. Viltrumites are probably capable of doing both within their bodies. But since Mark is young and just discovering his powers, his dad probably advises him to take a deep breath before going to space.

Yup, before i thought that they would only use a very minute amount oxygen that's in their system to make it last longer but that might make them weaker so yeah, now i think that they can make their own oxygen if they have some in their lungs, that's why Omni man could be in space for weeks and not suffocate.

@@akshatthakur9219 nah, they cover it in the comics, that they can go for weeks on one breath but they have to stop by planets with oxygen atmospheres to get another. I think it's the info Battle Beast is given, to hunt down Thragg (track them through space, from oxygen rich planet to oxygen rich planet, doesn't even need to be in abundance given Mark taking that breath in thin atmosphere)

Honestly, one of the best examples why Mark should hang on to his ability to talk and reason with his opponents. I know diplomacy isn't as flashy or effective as caving in a person's chest, but it just may be the thing Mark needs to really give him an edge over the Viltrumites.

so Allen and omni-man had an encounter before? it's kinda clear that Omni-man knows who he is here isn't that weird that Omni-man was so chill about letting Mark meeting Allen without any bit of worry for his true identity being exposed by Allen to Mark? Also from the ending of season 1, we learnt from Allen that no Viltrumite was ever defeated by anyone other than that of their own race, then, why would Allen dare to come back to the planet that he once fought a Viltrumite before. I haven't read the original comics, so this part was quite weird to me while watching the show. Can someone who knows better explain it??

I never read the comics, but Allen is actually as powerful, or more powerful than Omni-man and kills some of his race later. So Allen is at the wrong planet, but I think Omni-man was at Urath to take it over before.... so it's actually a hint.

It's quite easy really. Allen doesn't know Nolan is a Viltrumite ("all you bioptics look the same to me") and Nolan never actually cared who Allen was because every time he appeared Nolan would just whip him up in five seconds, no time to talk or anything.
