I just absolutely adore the parallel of Nolan slowly trying to kill himself in the black hole and Debbie standing on the overpass, seemingly contemplating the same thing. It's such a heartbreaking yet powerful mirror showing how the events of the finale affected the both of them, the overwhelming guilt of Nolan and the gut-wrenching sorrow of Debbie, it's so poignantly wonderful.

For me one of the biggest things this first half was the hug. Mark amping himself up to fight both cus he expected one from Nolan and cus that's what the lack of a better word "hero of earth" would/should do...only for all of it to vanish as he finds himself being a son missing his dad. "You don't get to call me that" he says, yet he continues to call him dad instead of Nolan or Omni man

Invincible gets what other superhero adaptations either fail to recognize or forgot a long time ago. The powers and the adventures are just the entertaining window dressing. People love superhero when they have believable characters, earnest character development, and emotional realism. It's why Invincible is one of the few genuinely great superhero adaptations in the post-Endgame landscape. It's not without its faults, but I am so glad that Invincible exists and that it's as good as it ie.

The things I would do to get this series. I can see it happening now that something like Hazbin Hotel went from indie to Prime, but even then, it’d be a lot more of a stretch and harder to be good (since Hazbin was rushed with pretty poor pacing and could’ve used an extra 5 episodes to make the story actually work).

no. they can feel empathy, have emotions. the thing is they were taught to be cold hearted and not have emotions. because they believed it will hinder their ideology of conquering other planets. even then many viltrumites still understood what humanity is and changed their perspective afterwards. Pulling a potato out of the ground is violence. There is nothing inherently wrong about it it is the way you use it just like any other tool. Just like how you would never hammer in a nail with a ratchet wrench you just need to pick the right tool for the job. You should do a video on how atom eve is the most powerful character in the verse but she would rather play pink lantern then actually be useful with her powers.
@miguelvelez722111 ай бұрын
Oddly judgemental and unearned with that last bit. I think it's very realistic for a character in the world of Marvel/DC styled heroes to at some point ask themselves how helpful they are in the grand scheme with insane powers if all they do is get in fights alongside other insanely powered people. Eve still wants to help, she didn't just Eff off to Vegas and the French Riviera or similar. That hasn't been as easy a path as she first assumed but it's not a self serving or apathetic one. It's a weird reaction to a character who has done the job of both fighting those attacking innocent people but trying to do do more outside of emergency situations with her abilities.
@fordderek242911 ай бұрын
@@miguelvelez7221 I'm talking about when she does help. She could have neutralized the alien armies weapons she could have stabilized that city lot. Hell she could have pinced that car with the bridge so that couple did not drown. She knows all of this and chooses to play with force fields and bubbles like a green lantern that can not comprehend their unlimited power.
@saucevc83539 ай бұрын
Atom Eve's powers are limited by the fact that she can't control living things unless she's under great stress, and she doesn't have infinite range/ omniscience. She couldn't just neutralize the entirety of the Flaxan army because she can only manipulate atoms within a certain range and if she's close enough to change their weapons into something else, it's easier to blast them. She couldn't stabilize the city lot because despite her innate understanding of chemistry and quantum physics, she's not a structural engineer nor does she know exactly why the lot was unstable.
@fordderek24299 ай бұрын
@@saucevc8353 if she has a limited range then how would a blast make the distance? An ranged attack is by definition your rang of attack. If she can make an apple of low density into gold which has a much higher density then she can absolutely brace that city lot. Also if she cannot affect biological matter then how does she make food out of nothing then make it into metal. She is choosing to be ineffective and you are choosing to defend her because you can't think of any of the literally infinite amount of opportunities that power would open.
@saucevc83539 ай бұрын
@@fordderek2429 Just because she can throw energy blasts far doesn't mean she has a far range of manipulation. A pitcher can throw a baseball for many meters but they only have a normal arm's reach. Similarly, the things Eve creates/ change don't cease to exist or lose their momentum once they leave her field of manipulation, she just loses control of them. That's why she can shoot blasts far but not change things unless she's close to them. Also, again, she's not omniscient. She has the physical power to make something brace the city lot, but she didn't even understand that it was unstable in the first place.
