Just to clarify… Whenever you take vitamins for your hair is for the hair that is growing in… It doesn’t do anything to the hair that’s already out of your scalp… So no, the vitamins did not break the hair that had already existed… As you know hair cells are already dead cells that are coming out of your scalp. So if you were having breakage around your chin area was probably because your hair was weak. Not because of the vitamins you were currently taking

Vitamin B5 DRIED my ends out and then the ends broke off. As soon as I stopped taking it, the dryness/breakage slowed down. My hair was probably already weak, and that supplement exacerbated the problem. I probably should’ve clarified that.

Also, apparently vitamin b5 depletes biotin, which was making the problem worse. This is all anecdotal, of course. I have gone through countless Reddit threads of people experiencing hair loss and breakage due to b5, so it made me feel like there was something there…

I agree! Internal doesn’t play a part on hair ends! Your internal body only effects what’s currently growing out! It takes a couple months to notice changes to your hair from any vitamin or medication. Your hair has a growth process! The damage from said “drugs” will only effect the part of the hair that is in the growth process. Once that damage is done to that part of each hair, it will remain on that part of each hair until that part has grown out or that whole length of the individual hair falls out! You can damage grown out hair externally from heat, color etc…The hair grown out is already dead!!!

Ty sooooo much for this!! There’s no videos on this and your video is so great! I wanted to get this because this summer I’m planning on doing a lot and wanted to look my best. My hair has become thinner and on my hair health journey. Im not sure if the cost of it was worth it. Thank you!! 💜

Hi there. What was the initial length of your hair extensions when you first got them?
@ameliaearl91462 жыл бұрын
Your hair looks great! I have thin, fine hair and experienced postpartum hair loss too. Thankfully it’s growing back in now. I’m planning on getting these extensions soon. Just wanted to know how easy it is to see them? Do the wefts show through easily?

I took bondi boost and my hair broke off when I was blow drying it. Now took b5 ever.

Before you had the extensions how often did you wash your hair? You now say about 5 days with them. I have oily hair and am getting them tomorrow. Worried I will have to wash just as much. Thanks!
@Meg_O2 жыл бұрын
I used to wash about every 2-3 days. I'm still going 5 days in between washes. Some weeks I can go 6. You'll be able to do it!

@@Meg_O thank you! What dry shampoo product do you use? And what other products? I heard Kevin Murphy was great for these.

@@klhill5068 I use this dry shampoo: amzn.to/3fYjuT0 I think the key is to use it right after washing kind of like a "deodorant." I use Pureology strength cure shampoo and conditioner, and I also have Olaplex products.

Can you do a video of your loose braid? I braid mine and it's kinked in the morning.

Tip, put extensions in low pony, just wash the top of your hair between full washing. Only do partial color, do not color the hair that holds the extensions, virgin hair is stronger.
@Meg_O2 жыл бұрын
That's a great tip! I need to try it on a day where I can't do a full wash!

I feel you. I’ve been losing my hair in my mid-forties. It is so disheartening and I almost feel vain but I cannot help it. My hair is who I am. Did the bondai supplement (sorry if I misspelled) work for you? In what way? Asking because the extensions are not in my budget.
@Meg_O3 жыл бұрын
Bondi Boost worked great for me - I took the HG and anti-loss supplements.

Breakage was not the vitamins, it was either from over processes color or using too much protein which makes your hair brittle and will break, especially on fine hair, made that mistake.

Apparently vitamin b5 depletes biotin, which was making the problem worse. This is all anecdotal, of course. I have gone through countless Reddit threads of people experiencing hair loss and breakage due to b5, so it made me feel like there was something there. All I know is that the breakage slowed down when I stopped. It definitely could be a combination of things, but I go 4 months in between color sessions and have been doing that for 10ish years. Nothing different was done when my hair was colored before I noticed breakage. It wasn't too much protein. My hair actually reacted really well to a protein treatment recently, and I found that I needed protein. Absolutely nothing changed in my hair routine aside from the vitamins, so I really felt it was the culprit.

@@adrianasegura3836 they were too annoying if you’re like me. I need a free head I can scratch and shampoo. I don’t leave anything in it when I sleep.

@@cyberspelunker1980 I think what made it worse was they are together in a row and you can't scratch lol. When I put them on I just thought they were beaded seperately not beaded and then stitched together 🥴 I went to a party last night and my head is om fire rightnow lol. another con about them is you can't take them off even if you had an emergency lol you have to go back and get them taken off. So you need to stick to them until they are off lol
