It's very nice that you make your comments in English, since I think that fact allows more people around the globe to know about this wonderful music... It'd be nice if you can talk a little bit about the lyrics - but in Spinetta's case is hard even in Spanish, hahaha... I just got to your channel because Machi Rufino (Invisible's bass player posted in his social media)... Congrats and a big hug from Bogotá! 🤟
@jonnykhatru

Thank you very much! Yeah I don't really talk about lyrics, even for music in my own language, but I do really appreciate the bizarre poetry of Spinetta. It really adds to the otherwordly mood of his music. I was very humbled that the great Machi mentioned me! Thanks so much for watching and for your comment ✌

Hi Johnny... Yes, I really believe that El Jardín it's nearly perfection and in comparison is more ethereal, spatial than their debut album, as you said. This one is more telluric, more primitive. Imaginative and also hypnotic, but with feet stomping on the ground. Paleontological prog, if you will, hard rock played by jazz trained musicians.

Spinetta is refered to "Flaco" Spinetta. Flaco means thin, he was tall and skinny throughout his life. Latinamerican fans tend to call flaco as an endearment, so do they call Flaco to Cerati and to Fito Paez.

The best Surreal rock with jazz touches...no need to compare to genesis or Yes . Spinetta is different even when you can listen to inlfluences....( BTW Yes and Genesis also had strong ones from classical music) .. React To Billy bond & La Pesada del rock VOL I ...An unusual album, describing a very special time in Argentine rock after the two main groups Manal and Almendra broke up, this was a short lived but unique collective bunch of rock and jazz musicians ( with no stable lineup for the first LP) . Every song has a different lineup and composer.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKPZaaWmdtSih5Y ( link with best sound ) . Best songs are not the most popular , Verder prados , el parque & cada dia somos mas ,are the most interesting songs , being the first track the most popular......

Please keep in mind I only 'compared' Invisible to other prog rock bands in response to someone's comment. That person said that Invisible has nothing special, which I don't agree with. I think it has a lot to offer. My point was only that Invisible might not have been as wildly ambitious on this album as other bands were at the same time, but they certainly were on 'El jardin'. I still thought this first album was very good and impressive in its own way. ✌

You have to always understand the situation: place and time . In Europe and US rock was supported by record labels,with a lot of money and time and good recording studios . Instruments and equipment were NOT easy to get here ( the first Pappo and Manal single distortions were done plugging guitars through a cheap reel to reel tape recorder ,that had a similar circuit as tube amps), Claudio Gabis from Manal found out that. The first rock albums were independent labels ,small old studios with no much time to work and none state of the art recording & mixing boards and little support from labels ,besides having access to very few good instruments. The media ( and society in general ) was totally against rock and it began under a dictatorship which was not very rough,but you could be in jail for a night for having long hair and strange clothing .The only ¨rock producer¨ was Billy Bond , it is interesting to enter his youtube channel where he explains how many things were done with imagination and small resources . First 1968 Manal single is a fantastic example of great achievments with small resosources. People outside ignore this and just make comparissons which are somehow unfair. Besides Spinetta had his own music world ,he obviously had influences as every musician but transformed them to his own thing. Sometimes i have found that people fron europe and US don´t get it , the fact it is sung in spanish doesn´t help either. Billy Bond youtube channel kzbin.info/door/mc2oT2PRPcpdVjNn0trcZgvideos Here the story from 1968/1971 of how they get distortion having no fuzz pedals kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKbIipJoo7-EpZI
