Exquisite. Opening track is alarmingly hypnotic.. pulled me right in. I’d love to see this reissued.

Any possibility of arranging a cassette reissue?? I can't find any contact information but you appear to have the Invisible Toy connection! I'd love to help make that happen. I work with a tape house and we put out one of those Sines of Exquisite Pleasure reissues.

So it isn't a "fake reissue" project? Some peeps n me on fb were just talking about yer label n that band? Or is this the person that did music for hospitals? If so, we were not talking about yer label, but we were talking about that band. What's the truth on that?

@@davidkozin1106 hey David! I too have gone down the rabbit hole on the "coordinated fake releases" thing, I think it's pretty fascinating. As for the "Hospitals" release, Fantasy Audio Magazine has nothing to do with any hoodwinks, we just put out the tape. And we did have an email correspondence with the man who is called Douglas Em! As for any legitimacy to the person or the backstory, who knows. But we definitely spoke with a human being, who gave us original music, and we put it out according to what that person (who actually seemed quite legitimate in conversation, for what it's worth) said about the material. That's the story, really! Nothing too mysterious.

This was sooo long ago that I no longer have the original front cover art, other than of course the original j-card. It was the mid-80s, before computer-assisted printing, so everything was done on a linotype machine with stat cameras and layout boards, and nothing was ever saved to disk. The music was recorded on what was then a brand new Yamaha cassette 4-track, then transferred to a 2-track Teac reel-to-reel, then in the mid-90s finally transferred to CD. In decent shape, I suppose, but I haven't listened to the 2-track reel-to-reel master in at least 25 years.

@@grazingpigeon4486 absolutely fascinating! Thanks for getting back to me 🙂 well hey if you'd be open to seeing a small run of reissues, I think the community would be excited about it. Always have space in my workshop for cool tapes like this.

@@att1413 I definitely appreciate the offer. Tell you what, I'll get out the reel-to-reel 2-track master this evening and do a direct transfer to Pro Tools. I can then send you the wav files in a zip folder or I can send you a pure analog copy on reel-to-reel tape if you have access to a 2-track reel-to-reel machine. I could also send you a pretty high quality master copy on CrO2 cassette tape taken directly from my Tascam reel-to-reel. As I mentioned the original artwork is long long gone. I have the original J-card of course. I could scan the original J-card with a high quality scanner and send that to you. I could also send you a copy of the cassette (I kept two for myself when it was first released) and you could use the original J-card as the source for the reissue. For this option, I would definitely need it back after you've used it. Let me know what you think about these options. By the way, my email address is cdarnold10@yahoo.com if you'd like to respond via email.
