You have a real talent for interviewing Lucy. Another interesting and fun listen.

Lovely guest, great content. As a travel agent, i worked with a guy who hosted single's cruises. The first cruise he hosted, he came back with a million hilarious stories about a single's gay cruise that was happening at the same time. I would have paid to see him host an event when they walked and started to hit on him a few guys in his group.

Lucy, thanks again for another brilliant interview video...again! 😀Kookie was super, as are your interview skills. Lucy thanks for always bringing out the important things (qualifications, job details, training, prof/personal separation) as well as the fun things (friends, crew life, etc.).😀Nice to hear that many have great roommates, but sad that (except for Virgin) crew Wi-Fi is so expensive (and it sucks). Lucy, please continue to live an adventurous life (and keep the interview videos coming)! Fair winds sweetie!

Love your videos! I don't think I 'll ever work on a ship, but I like the behind the scenes insight. Could you do a video explaining where gratuities go? The American cruise lines tell passengers that their automatic gratuities are divided up among all the service staff, but who gets the money and when? I read one cruise line said the money went into a bonus pot.... which seems like a very indirect way to tip. As a passenger, I want to understand where the money is going.

Wow! Great interview. Since Kookie followed you before starting her cruise career & will take questions, this is a rare opportunity. 1 Does she collect magnets, coins, scrapbook, or keep a digital photo album? 2 Does she recommend any items to bring with her on a contract that you haven't listed? 2a What items that you did recommend were her favorites (pharmacy, magnetic shelfs, air freshener)? 3 If she isn't shy... What does she spend the most on during a contract? It has almost got to be coffee/or food. 4 On her contract that starts in Europe and moves to the Caribbean, will the crossing with or without passengers? Many thanks to her!

Jack Nicklaus, the world famous golfer, said “ I’ve been all around the world and haven’t seen a thing”… that can apply to a cruise ship employee…

As a daycare teacher on land hoping to become an aspiring youth staff on cruise ships next year, thank you so much for this! It’s really hard to find info online about youth staff as obviously working with kids is a very protected profession. Especially the tips about applying direct vs through an agency, so I will definitely look into Castaway when I apply! A few questions I have are what are the hours like working in the youth department? And do they get much time off to explore? Is there a specific age group you work with? Do you get any guest privileges? What does a typical day look like in the kids club for you? Thanks so much Kookie and Lucy! 🥰🩷
