I grew up in Louisiana and my mom was assistant mayor. Everyone knew her so no messing around. Some people hated me because of her and some loved me. You never knew who was who. Politics can cause good and bad changes in your family. Still does and I’m 65.

I'm from the UK as well. My late Grandad always told me 'if you don't vote you can't complain about the outcome' and it's stuck with me for life. The problem with the UK is that both main parties are so similar now and are proving to be very dishonest with some of there actions. At times you do feel like saying I won't vote either way as none seem to have our best interests at heart but are simply focused on lining their pockets. It's sad when your voting for the party that isn't so bad instead of one you strongly support and believe in if that makes sense.

I live in the next county over from you guys and enjoy watching your videos also watch the other Bates channels great family...I knew Johns father was a congressman but never checked his voting record until today..Just from recent votes he's voted against. The Affordable insulin act against the protecting our kids act against consumer price gouging prevention against infant formula supply act against the investigation of the January 6 attack against protecting older workers against discrimination act against the John Lewis voting act ..and the list goes on...I don't understand how anyone can be proud of that record..Horrible..He votes against things that would help most Americans ..I think John is a great husband and father perhaps he should look at his voting record and ask himself how any of it is good for families..I totally get being against abortion I am against abortion but being a Republican these days doesnt reflect whats good for American families..Sincerly Diane ..
