Usually the hall of fame will induct someone after they die, but when Hutchence died they ignored him.
@ClaraJones-wq8du

@@captainamerica9028 Geldof is on the voting committee and many musicians suck up to him. That may sound like a conspiracy but its not inconcievable that Bob would interfere. Just before Duran Duran got into the R&R Hall last year, they tried to say that their horrible song about Michael was about drugs. INTERESTING - because articles from then have Duran saying they thought Michael shouldn't help Paula in her divorce. Hutchence was providing Paula a place to live as she was complaining that Bob was trying to put her on the street by causing her to get fired and not providing spousal support. It came out on Oct 14 97 with horrible lyrics like "Stop wanting to be" and saying he was involved in someone elses war.. It was not about drugs as Duran later tried to say or a fan song. Coroner found Michael was back in therapy on Oct 18th, renewed his prozac then he and Paula want to try Australia (For a few weeks before and after Christmas - returning to England for Christmas when Fifi got home from boarding school - they were never going to stay in Australia for Xmas) Interesting that not only due Duran get into the R&R Hall right after their lies but on the 25th aniversary fo Michael's death - Nov 22. So any talk of Michael would be countered by Duran's lies.

I just recently realized how much INXS has been part of my childhood. My dad would always put their songs on during a roadtrip or randomly at home. As a child you don't pay much attention to that, while playing with toys, etc. But they became engraved in my mind and now that I listen to them as a teenager/adult it's soo nostalgic😢 I miss my carefree childhood❤ love INXS!

The older I get, (40yrs old - born 1981) and the more I listen to this tune I'm convinced it's one of the greatest tracks ever recorded by INXS or anyone else for that matter. This song and video were like a dream when I was 8yrs old in the summer 1990 watching it on MTV. That's when I fell in love with INXS. Then I grew into an adult and appreciated the music more than when I was a kid. That's the power of popular music. When it's done proper it's divine. All hail INXS. Love and respect to Michael Hutchence.

No mystery. Suicide and repeatedly proven so. Coroner and then another - the famed Dr. Shepherd - reviewed it and said his body position and a belt that wouldn't come undone proved suicide. Michael never expected to regain consciousness. Biographer Lovegrove found out that Paula told friends she feared that Michael was suicidal for months b4 he died. An interview in the UK observer (2017) called “ln the eye of the storm”, friend Catherine Mayer, said ” Michael had called just a few days before he died, crying so hard I couldn't make out every word, talking of legal battles & the endless, relentless press attention”. The press started the AEA rumor and Paula originally blamed bob and stress. (see The Police statement of Paula yates) She threatened to sue Q mag, saying he was never into sex clubs or S&M. She later changed her tune for money and because it was rumored that Bob threatened a slander suit.
