What more can you say - this song is beyond perfection - great separation of the instruments in the recording - the drums crack, the bassline is killer and locked with the drums, the guitars are crystal in the mix and the lead at the break is inspired and that’s an understatement...and then there’s Michael’s vocal. Great lyrics, great melody, great groove - you don’t hear this anymore. This song is truly incredible and grabs you from the start and doesn’t let you up until the fade.

@@col.greasebagmcqueen9933 I would argue that some music also sucked back in the day that's now forgotten. That's why we get the impression that every old music is good... because we just don't remember the bad part. On the other hand, today's music is different. I became open minded and I like some of the recent songs, and like the hits from 10-15 years ago. Sometimes I regret not digging that music when it was recent. It's also considered old. The music from late 2000's and early 2010's is old!? in reality even late 2010's is considered old...

I really miss vintage INXS. Their music was so polished and hook-y that it's easy to miss just how literate and thought-provoking most of their lyrics were. There's really nothing getting significant airplay the past 20 years or so that even comes close to this kind of well-rounded brilliance.

He didn't blow his brains out. How could he do that and leave no fingerprints on his shotgun? It had no fingerprints on it. You can't wipe your gun clean after you blow your brains out. Hutchence wanted to tell the truth like Chris Cornell and so many others. Most Rock star suicides were actually murders. I just saw evidence that Jim Morrison didn't kill himself. I have no links. A lot of y'all won't understand how f'n exciting it was to see a rail slide in a pop culture video back then. I recall my sk8r bros and I getting so stoked by that 1.5 seconds of footage. Granted, I probably got more worked up than the rest, and didn't realize everyone else was as zoomie as me, but that was/is my nature. Good times.

If people were so inclined, The whole story of INXS could be made in ty o a movie. God, it could be excellent. Maybe better than Bohemian Rhapsody!! IF. It was done correctly!!!!

It was already tried in 2014. It was called “Never Tear Apart” and shown on cable. It could’ve been better but it was ok.

All the people on here saying that INXS was underrated clearly did not live during the 80s. This band was HUGE. They played on MTV constantly.

Michael Hutchence had such a Bono/Jim Morrison quality in his voice. I wasn’t a big INXS fan, but being a teen in the 80s made it impossible not to listen to INXS, U2, Springsteen, Guns N’ Roses, Motley Crew, Bon Jovi, Foreigner, The Police, and others. Some music just takes me back to that time, and INXS takes me to back the mid-80s for sure. (Quick note: U2’s “Stuck In the Moment” is a tribute to Michael Hutchence.)

Hey, I'm that guy at 4:38. That's my nanosecond of fame. Okay, I coulda been. Mom woulda been so proud! Anway, INXS kicked ass, sad that MH had some real demons to contend with, but they were a smokin' band while they lasted. Better to burn out and all that.

I wish Michael Hutchence followed a life path similar to that of Lenny Kravitz (no drugs, no alcohol, healthy living)... He would then still be with us today and I am sure he would have been on top of the music world... Michael's voice, personality, excitement, and zest for life have not been replaced by anybody so far...

@@chrystals.4376and the ones that did exist didn’t always have the best success rates. Even the treatments for things like bipolar disorder were more or less science experiments and humans were the test subjects. I know about that because of what I watched my older sister go through.

I come from the metal world, I love Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Sabbath etc and I gotta admit I find myself loving INXS songs. I am late to the party but man, they were so good. Michael Hutchence had the "it" factor in spades. He just had it, like very few have
