No, this isn't a Polish motif and it is not in keeping with the spirit of the anthem. The idea is the borders themselves are fluctuating and changing, not the thing itself, the point is the core underlying idea, precisely the irrelevance of 'power borders' for the reality of 'Poland' You got it entirely from stupid 'bloodthirsty poland' memes after the full-scale russian invasion that is an israeli slogan iirc

Im not sure od Polish soldiers were fighting in west Indies for Napoleon. The picture that you showed was describing Polish soldiers fighting on Haiti with black insurgents. When they realized that they were ordered to take the freedom from them which themselves were lacking, many Poles hanged the sides and joined the Haitans against the French. Sorry for my englisch.
@GreatPolishWingedHussars Жыл бұрын
This is a fact that Polish soldiers fought against the Haitian insurgents. In addition, not all Polish soldiers then switched sides, so that Poles actually fought against Poles. Quote from the wiki link with the title "Polish Haitians": " In 1802, Napoleon dispatched a Polish legion of around 5,200 men to join the French forces in Saint-Domingue to suppress the Haitian slave rebellion...Both French and Polish soldiers had high mortality, with more dying because of yellow fever than being killed in warfare. Surviving Polish soldiers admired their opponents, and some of them eventually turned on the French army and joined the rebelling Haitians. Out of those Polish soldiers who remained alongside the French, some intentionally failed to properly follow orders and refused to murder captured prisoners. Władysław Franciszek Jabłonowski, who was half-black, was one of the Polish generals but died of yellow fever soon after reaching Saint-Domingue. Polish soldiers are credited with contributing to the establishment of the world's first free black republic and the first independent Caribbean state. After Haiti gained its independence, Jean-Jacques Dessalines the leader of the insurgents recognized the Poles and spared them when he ordered the massacre of most French whites and many free blacks on the island. He granted the Poles classification as Noir (black), who constituted the new ruling class, and in the constitution granted them full Haitian citizenship.! The descendants of these Poles still live on the island

@loot_bandit94852 жыл бұрын
No, the borders are correct. Those were the borders of Prussia,Russia and Austria until after the dismantling of the Duchy of Warsaw at the end of the Napoleonic wars. Galicia becoming an Austrian constituent, Krakow becoming a free city, Prussia gaining southern Danzig and Poznan then the creation of the Congressional Kingdom of Poland with the rest of the former duchy lands into the Russian empire edit, typos and spelling
