Imagine serving on the USS Johnston when it sank and being trapped in a room under deck. The way you can hear the the metal starting to creek due to the water pressure. the air pressure drop change within your compartment. The clarity, that kicks in, when you realize you will never get out of this wreck.

I'm confused about the polar bear part.
@inziify Жыл бұрын
Polar Bears can go as deep as 30-35 metres. Because they spend most of their lives on the sea ice of the Arctic Ocean depending on the ocean for their food and habitat, polar bears are the only bear species to be considered marine mammals.

Strangely enough, I'm more afraid of our oceans on Earth than I am of outer space.

Same. Only 5% of the Oceans has been explored. Who knows what the 95% holds??!!!

@@inziify That’s outdated, it’s actually closer to 20%. That’s still more than 80% though. I can’t even imagine what’s down there.

It's only as scary as "what's close enough to kill me in my life?" In space life is probably so spread out we'd never get to truly meet any of it for 10s to hundreds of generations of our species. Then if we all weren't in for the ride too only the ones out exploring would meet them while having no way to show them to us for hundreds to thousands of years. But as for what could actually exist out there is infinitely scarier as the possibility of your greatest fear of a creature has a high probability of actually existing.
