He mentioned a set number of pools to begin. Have we heard of any way that the selection will be made for initial participants? I had planned on running a pool from day one but seems it might be on invite only...

I didn't understand a lot of it, but some of it seemed to make sense to me... I'm glad IOHK has smart people figuring this stuff out... I am wondering if nodes in the pool will be used to process smart contract applications? Will it be the complexity of the process that determines the amount the slot leader will earn? I just want an API to program smart contracts... ideally in Javascript... looking forward to the test net coming out soon... hoping Plutus makes some sense to me... started trying to learn Haskell and worried the smart contract interface is going to be too hard for me to learn.

Regarding staking, he seems to be saying smaller pools will give a proportionally higher reward to incentives stakers to join. Large or full pools, will give equal rewards. i.e. if you choose a full pool, it will be for other reasons than reward. Does this incentivize pools that don't really want members to join and keep more profit for themselves?

Sooooo sorry if I went on definition of game theory and the ways it has been used in society and the military, before watching the video. My question now is what is your point for replying unless its one of those "agitated buyers of ada trying to defend it by personally attacking someone" thing most of todays crypto traders do which can be referenced to the aggressive nature of their telegram and reddit rooms.
