This is gonna sound silly, but the biggest thing I learned (to answer your question) is to just think. I realize a lot of macro really isn't that hard, so long as I actually take 2 seconds to think about it, and once I get my micro down, it becomes much easier. Also the "5 people making a wrong play makes it a correct play" is huge. I've been calling plays with my friends when we 5 stack and I don't always make the right plays, but it's crazy how powerful 5 people acting in unison can be.

It would be great if y'all could talk more about what you're thinking about in champ select. Like this second game, you mentioned that they blind picked Vayne so you Caitlyn to punish that, and because they picked an enchanter Senna was perfect too. It would be great to get insight into why you chose the camps you do each game, when you're counter picking vs blind picking, etc. To answer your question, I've learned a lot through this series! I've definitely changed the way i think about 4th dragon and the power and control you get simply by getting the first three and having that 4th one always be a threat! As well as why it's sometimes better to just let some of them go so that the elder doesn't spawn

Agreed, I'd be all for a little champ select convo then cut to the game. At least for a game here and there so people can see the thought process if its interesting or noteworthy.

You guys are straight up the best league coaches I've ever had. I'm seeing macro, learning little techniques, and slowly able to bring it into my games (hard stuck silver since season 4, habits are hard to break). Thank you for what you do

I wouldn't say I've learned a lot in the climb, but that's because it's the same concepts you talk about in most your videos and I've been watching for a quite a while. The most helpful part for me is actually seeing the concepts in action when you try to win, don't get me wrong I like the for fun videos but watching this helped me get a 10 game win streak where a carried about half of them and where I was never the one being carried. Just seeing all these concepts everyday in action before I play helps refresh my memory on what I should be focusing on. It's especially helpful cause I play adc (used to play supp but got tired of shitty adcs, still like to bust out the supp every once in a while tho) and seeing how much i0ki roams when he plays to win makes me use the time my supp spends bot more effectively.

I'm still watching guys, not commenting as much, but I'm loving the climb. I have to say that Heiz is doing great as ADC; it's from the humility he brought into the role. He listens, is making good calls, and I feel like you both play better together than ever before. I'll point out again how i0ki and Graves were chasing and Heiz could have backed but instead brought in the wave to give you guys a safe out - it was something I didn't even consider. In a game of inches, small stuff like that adds up. What I've learned is that having healthy expectations for your duo-mate (and to go further, everyone on your team) is a great long-term tip to play better. You all spoke at length about it, but I nearly laughed when that Akali dove past tower into 2+whoever and probably expected i0ki to jump in, but it would have just gotten you both killed with no way out. All you can do as a solo player is understand your champ's strength and weaknesses, what you can and can't get away with, and try to help your team get opportunities to exploit in the best way they can. For example, waiting for a guaranteed stun/knockup to land before you drop the hook. Feels good to set up combos like that and turns an enemy mistake into a kill. A lot of that comes with experience and just understanding how other champs in the game work to best combine your abilities.

Is it just me or is heiz a little quieter this video (as in volume level)? The big things ive learned: 1) consistency: you guys are clearly very good at the game, good enough to be master compared to teammates and opponents. Hell, even i can pop off some games and look way better than my rank or elo. But the key thing to climbing is consistency, over numbers of games. A 50% win rate is natural, so being good enough to climb is a matter of consistently influencing those games you can by playing consistently without mistakes and to the limit of your power as a position on the rift. 2) risk assessment: understanding what plays are good, but risky, and which plays are bad, but a good risk to take, is a huge subtlety that has been lost on me for years. The difference between a throw and a secured win is a good play that goes poorly because of the variance of everyone's performances and pure chaos. Good decision making means knowing which risks to take because they are worth, and also which advantages to concede because you dont need to win harder!

Learned a ton of macro. It’s stuff I was kind of aware of but seeing it time and again hammers it in. Playing as support to stagger back with your adc e.g. letting adc finish shoving the wave while you roam mid. Also the fact that League is a turn based game all the way. So much learned. GSA

LMAO 22:30 you wanted graves to come down and wondered why he didn't? He tried to finish blue, then hit it with a fadeaway to gank. Blue reset. Instead of just giving up, he RESTARTED the blue, then was hitting it again. HE FINISHED BLUE A SECOND TIME AND *THEN* HE GANKED BOT.

Honestly learnt a lot, mostly also because I've only started League a month ago (I'm plat IV). Played other mobas before, and am still learning what each champions do, items and what not. But getting nice free support lessons as a main sup is very nice :)

I know heiz is talking about just the passive on hexdrinker, but at that point Caitlyn base mr is roughly 45, and after karthus’s sorc shoes that’s only 27. So to get the hexdrinker is an additional 35. This reduces the damage you take from the karthus by 125%, meaning that shield actually has more than twice the shown value, in addition to massively reducing overall damage taken. In that lens 1300 gold doesn’t seem so bad imo.

The concept of holding off on soul sometimes has never crossed my mind. Whether to sacrifice it for baron or just realize the certain soul isn’t worth unlocking a possible Elder loss in the future. Good stuff.

I realize every time you play blitz/hook champions how much more aggressive you are then I could ever hope to be, flashing onto lvl 2 and things. Guess I need to break down the scars of trying to be aggressive and always being left high and dry during it by my adc.

My macro had gotten better i already tried to look at what i could've done better but now i analyze it more from an outsiders perspective my micro is rather good and at the moment don't think it needs much improvement I'm sure that'll change in the future though

dang, was it the tryhard or were the other games rough too or was it just a rough day? i0ki usually deals with scrub idiots like jayce pretty well but the man got suuuper tilted. If the climb competition and ranked play is getting stressful to you guys, there's no REAL pressure to finish it. It's just a game at the end of the day, we all know you guys are master/gm/chall anyways, you don't have to prove yourselves so if it's not fun as a game then you don't gotta force it. Prolly just a bunch of bad games though lmao sounds like the termites came out of the woodwork today for terrible teammates and this was just straw-breaking-camel ;P
