Iolo Williams wants to see Wilder National Parks

Is there any news on the Summit to Sea project or is that still shelved? Having spent the first half of my life in the Snowdonia region it would be lovely to see more wildlife back in the area but the farmers there seem to be an immovable force :(

I want to buy a massive plot of land in Wales at about 15 acres and dedicate 5-7 acres to wildlife as I want to help Restore British countryside and wildlife and on that 5-7 acres I would be happy for Reds squirrels, pine Martins and beavers to all be release in that 5-7 maybe even more types of animal further down the line and then obviously Bee and insects

It doesn't do much for diversity having only overgrown terrain as RSPB have found out. Less or no sheep = less birds etc. and then blame farmers who are producing food and making an economy. The new scheme proposed does not allow tree planting on habitat grou d which is the ground that forestry commission took over planted, and removed the people. That's rewilding. No food production, no people and no eco omy.

Lots of people want to be rich so they can buy cars and live in luxury. I want to be rich just so I can buy loads of land and hand it over to wildlife!

Plant more trees here and another country will cut trees down to grow food to be imported here without being able to influence its production like UK grown food.
