Zip disks/drives were awesome when they came out. I was in college and lugging around stacks of floppies, spanning files across multiple floppies which really sucked. Then Zip drives came out and I picked one up and was able to use it both with the engineering NT & Unix workstations, liberal arts departments Windows machines on campus, and at home on my own PC. It was a godsend in the mid 1990's.

Iomega: the dreaded click of death. Early EarthLink employee here. An Iomega disc drive was essential when you could download via fat pipes. And the things people left laying around in plain sight back in those days.

Lucky you when you were sitting on a fat pipe :-) I remember fondly sitting on a 4 mbps link towards the end of the 90s as was like "wohoo" :-)

Da sind ein paar (praktisch nur) Compaq's auf dem Regal, welchen meinst du denn? Aber ja, eigentlich gehen bei mir alle Floppy Drives, ich versuch die immer zu reparieren oder sonst werden sie ersetzt.
