Hey! I just got mine and tried recording a blank tape using the Bluetooth feature. It worked, but the bass is very off. Every time there's a Drum Bass in the song It really basses out and takes over the rest of the song. Any tips?

The one for sale at BJs is different from this one. Ion fails to tell the consumer that. I have both and the difference is the one here in the video has a rechargeable battery. The one from BJs doesn’t. It only takes regular batteries and AC current

Those instructions begin 292 seconds (4 minutes 52 seconds [4:52]) in. Open the full Description and a link is already present for it. Click it to start right there. *BEWARE!!* Neither this video nor the manual mentions that the USB stick (or presumably SD card) apparently has to be formatted in the archaic *FAT32* mode! Most modern sticks come pre-formatted in the newer *ExFAT* mode which is an extended version of FAT32 designed to allow larger volumes and files (a single file under FAT32 can only be 2GB - that should be enough for a side of a cassette as audio, but video files can be _much_ bigger than that). You need to use a Windows PC or Macintosh to format the stick to FAT32. *To ION Audio:* This is _ridiculous!_ (A) that you have such a limitation (even now, _decades_ into years beginning with a “2”, you’re _still_ requiring a format designed in the _early 1990s!?_ One with _serious_ file size and volume size limitations due to only being able to use 32-bit pointers [thus the “32” in “FAT32”]?), and (B) that you don’t let users know about it _in the manual_ or these videos! As bigger thumb drives become cheaper, more and more will be sold pre-formatted as ExFAT, and if you don’t support that and people don’t know the difference (most users don’t and wouldn’t even think to check), people are going to think your _product_ is bad - and it frankiy _is_ if you don’t support ExFAT. Please release a firmware update for ExFAT support for existing units, and update videos such as this one to reflect the FAT32 requirement until you can get the firmware update out.

When converting to MP3 via USB or mini SD, first format your drive to FAT32, then take the MP3 file, convert to WAV and back to MP3. Otherwise the file will not play on anything other than Windows Media Player or open in Audacity or Adobe apps.

Recording cassettes on this thing is horrible 1. Cassette player isn’t at the right speed 2. Lots of hiss for a $80 boombox 3. Audio quality is so bad there’s no bass and treble is bad as well
