Even though ive never used the 2cm beam system i have used that 3x3 rotor from the utilities mod to turn the Atlas super laser block into a turret controlled by target painter. Man I really love watching your mechanized creations work. I'll watch every one you make. Cheers

Ok, although petitions are useless, i'm officially starting the unofficial official petition to force mr. 2cm to either fix the masterpiece of a mod he made or hand it over to someone who can. it is the best mod by far that i've found. the concept and execution of it is fantastic and the models look official. i didn't realize until i looked at your workshop link that someone else started dinking with the mod. it's a bummer it's still not working right. how'd you make the hole for the facility? explosives? voxel hand? do you have another contraption? or a lvl 1 hand drill? and i do see those ships. i particularly like your ship. it's those kinds of efforts that i appreciate. not just creating a thing, but all the things that go into the thing. And for instance, around 9:10, those pretty sweet dealios doing the things are sweet and all, as in movie, 'lore' quality cool, but what catches my eye and i appreciate even more is that section above it on the screen where the white pipes are. it takes it from 'cool design and idea' to a 'believable' facility looking ordeal. i am having a hard time explaining, i hope you get the point. it's those little aesthetic design features that you put in your stuff that i like the most. i always end up with just a sheet of plain blocks. if i try to stir things up, it just looks stupid. here, you make it look 'real'. last, i wonder what this would look like with the mod that removes the grey corner/edges of all the blocks. in some situations, those edges look good, adding a more sturdy type of look, but in a lot of cases they really make the game look animated, almost drawn or cartoony.

I made the hole as I went in the build with a voxel hand. Thank you, I really dig my ship as well, and the others. I liked the invader one enough to just repaint it. And are you talking about the vents? What’s funny is it was only after someone told me on Reddit that my computer was going to need some cooling that I thought, maybe the laser would need something like that too 😄 as much as I hate to say it, all this stuff is just thrown together as I go. I wasn’t sure if I made it “too transformy” or not. Sometimes all the folding gets to be too much. Maybe not, anyways, ty for the informative comment, and I’ll gladly sign your petition!

Ok, I was impressed with the automatic shipyard, but this tops it in every possible way. It almost feels like something stright out of the original Halo Wars with both the general aesthetic and the fact that it rises from underground. Unfortunately, I am fully aware that my laptop will probably detonate if I try to run this world on it, but I am getting a new gaming computer relatively soon, and this is definitely going to be one of the first things I check out once I have it. A lot of people say this, and a lot of the time they’re just saying it, but believe me, you’ve 1000% _earned_ a subscription from me. Looking forward to seeing how you manage to beat this monstrosity in sheer epicness (assuming Clang lets you beat it lol).

I've got a problem with this were the West laser pylon (West from the entrance) detaches while under ground when the timer block is activated. I save quit then re-logged only to find the turret detached, all the pylons are sticking out at a 45 degree angle and clang took hold of the East one so it's constantly phasing through the building.

How on earth do you even realize something like this. I'm an engineer, been programming for almost 30 years and I've done everything from soldering transistors to machine learning on the cloud. But I have ABSOLUTELY NO DESIGN BONE IN MY BODY. My 6 year old daughter is a better artist than I am, and every space ship I've ever built in SE looks either like something my son built, or a box. I can't even make a website that doesn't look like shit. Phenomenal attention to detail. How long did this take you to make? I can only imagine the Klang-induced rage you went through to build this. You should put a fighter squadron in each side for a total of 20. Something like those seems like it would be expensive to fire and would probably be used sparingly. Though, I suppose the fighters are more of a defensive measure for the gun itself rather than any form of alternative offensive.

Not underestimating the work gone into this, but as with a similar version based on the atlas laser I've seen, there isn't much elevation. I know you said the 2cm mod is broken but IIRC that mod can produce a beam capable of hitting something in orbit. It would be cool if they fix the mod to make a Ground to orbit version and hitting something before it hits atmo. I don't know much about scripting in SE, but I wonder if there was some kind of targeting script where a satellite or satellite system could paint the target? connected by laser antenna. Probably a bit too blue sky thinking. but there you go.

@@ApologiesSE not wishing to make more work for you as this is was just poetry in motion to watch and im awed you've done this on a lap top. we could say that this is one version that focuses on being an area denial weapon there could well be other versions for orbital defence where the core weapon system is different. That way if you get insired you could not only do a orbital strike version, a multi barrelled multi shot version or just leave as is as what you have achieved is brilliant. I also appreciate that you give a nod to the work of others not just mods but things like the lift system you used. Just all round awesomeness

This gun should be in most of space engineers servers. Instead of abusing the meta stuff.. Like Kinetic missiles etc... These things should exist in a server too.
