In Blade Runner, it's a TDK (Electronics manufacturer and used to own Take Two licensing) neon sign. MDK works nicely instead and references another old shoot em up. MDK from Demolition Man was never used as an acronym as its far more twisted to jus say "Murder Death Kill. Murder Death Kill. Murder Death Kill. Murder Death Kill. Murder Death Kill. 33:25 The dead body in that secret is that of Dangerous Dave, from the game Dangerous Dave in the Haunted Mansion. Speaking of which, the hamster popping in the microwave in that same level is a reference to the game Haunted Mansion, not to be mistaken with the above. 33:35 That is a reference to Terminator: Future Shock, which also included shooting at the moon as an easter egg.

The AASHITTY graffiti at 33:25 is a reference to a particularity of the Doom engine: the very first wall texture won't display correctly. To work around this, id software put in a "dummy" texture named AASTINKY in Doom 1 and AASHITTY in Doom 2. Oh yeah, I forgot that. Many references to maniac mansion, there is the kitchen with the chainsaw in the background, the microwave thing, etc. There are so many damn references and easter eggs in this game, that I am pretty sure there are more in this video missing. I already finished the main game and tried to find all secrets and still some I missed (I didn't clipped with cheats though) and others I didn't know where they were referening till I found out here.

John Kimonster He's 100 percent correct. The unicorn refers to two scenes seen in the original Blade Runner movie. The scenes together indicate Deckard is a Replicant. One of the scenes (the dream sequence) is not included in the theatrical cut of Blade Runner. The horse in Blade Runner 2049 is not a unicorn.

just finished this game, man I had no idea of all the hidden stuff, I mean I found secret rooms with ammo/armor, but nothing like the stuff shown here. The apartment designed after the move "Hardware" was cool see (kind of an underrated movie), so was the "Portal" and "Ninja Turtles" rooms. They really packed a lot in here. Between swapping this and Halo Infinite over the past week, it's nice to go back to the FPS roots of how this genre used to play.

33:36 BTW for anyone wondering, shooting the moon is a reference to an old _Bethesda_ game. Specifically, their OG Terminator games: Future Shock and Skynet. Super, super ahead of their time, and ambitious, being a full 3D shooter with _a lot_ of the DNA that went on to make the core of the Bethesda Fallout games as well as one of (if not THE) first game Todd Howard had a major role in directing. Of course, it's Bethesda, so it's an absolute bug fest nightmare to run, even (maybe especially) back in the day. Oh, and BTW, this was _before Quake._ Super impressive.

The excessive machine is a torture device that the villain puts Barbarella in to kill her with pleasure. He stands at the end closest to you when you first see it, and plays it like a piano with Barbarella's head and shoulders visible sticking out the end with the wavy bits. Eventually the machine burns out having failed to kill her with pleasure.

I also noticed posters for the "Video Loca Bitchin' Fast 3D 2000" video card which is an old games magazine joke about an overpowered video card. If you search KZbin for it a guy actually built a non working physical version of the card as an April fools joke. Also noticed a poster for Big Bill Hell's Used Cars, also on KZbin. Edit: Oh yeah, and in 3-1 Washington Institute, in front of the building is Love Fist's limo from GTA Vice City, recognizable by it's colours and the "LU FIST" license plate.

The "little horse" isn't a reference to Blade Runner 2049, it's a Blade Runner reference, just the directors cut. Deckard has a dream about a unicorn and then later another Blade Runner makes an origami unicorn. This was all part of the implication that Deckard was a replicant, which I guess is why they cut it from the theatrical cut.

Seems like that area in general was a action game/shooter easter egg room, he swooped by a name plate that looks to be for Kyle Katarn, the protagonist of the series of dark forces/Jedi knight star wars fps games. Edit: and fittingly the plate says retconned as he was declared none canon by Disney when they took over the Star Wars license.

Very comprehensive list, I have to admit. I did catch a few things that I didn't see here though. All the computer screens with the little red box on top with some text on it is very likely resembling the error screen you'd see on an old Amiga computer when something had gone wrong 1:43: The big MDK sign is likely a reference to the game of the same name 20:49 I noticed along with Suger, Spice and Whisky with Ice Powerpuff reference that there was also an ingredient called E621 and while it could just a food ingredient, I think it's more likely a reference to the massive porn website. Even if it's mainly for Furry stuff. 32:22 "Stay a while and listen" on the wall is probably a reference to the old man from Diablo 1
