iOS OOBE uses the similar technique Windows used to manage the experience. Launch an app and force it to full screen. I got access of SYSTEM account and installed a few apps under SYSTEM account while setting up Windows 7 before. Looks like iOS is the same. Activation lock is also part of that OOBE process.

I just installed iOS 11 in my iPad and after the install was done and the setup process started, the new doc was there and was stuck. I couldnt make it fo away. It was there and I wasn't able to click continue because it was under the dock. I found no way to make it go away and continue the process. was too much panicked and didn't know what to do. in the meantime I remembered this video I saw before. I came back to it and saw it again and the safari trick that u did was the thing that I did. and it worked. The home screen just came and the dock went away and only then I could continue the process. Thank you so much for your wonderful help with this video. I'm so grateful. Keep doing these great job. This has certainly got potential. Only thing is, I wouldn’t consider this to be a real security issue. My reasoning? Usually, Activation Lock is engaged after wiping a device’s content (and settings). None of the usr’s personal information would therefore be stored on the device. This means that, even though one would be able to access an extensive part of the device, the user’s content would never really be at risk. Furthermore, credentials required to log onto iCloud aren’t usually populated at the Activation Lock screen, except, in some cases, an e-mail address. Add to this the fact that you’ve shown yourself that actually logging in to any (iCloud) part of an application wasn’t working, and you’d have to admit that the stinger of it’s actually gone. So this flaw, in my opinion, isn’t really quite as ‘huge’ as one might think it is… Mind you, this doesn’t mean that it doesn’t need to get patched… Anything that doesn’t function as intended should, really, be _made_ to function correctly. Meaning that you should not be able to circumvent _any_ portion of the Activation Lock, however small the bug’s consequences to actual users’ data may really be…

I hate iOS 11 for 1 reason. The list of selectable Bluetooth devices is gone from iOS 11 control center. Now you have to go to Settings > Bluetooth to switch bluetooth headphones.
