Looks like UIImage and UIKit are gone as of XCode 14. How do we apply filters and such using the newer versions?

UIKit and UIImage are definitively not gone in Xcode 14; they are definitely there, and still work great.

How can I write a condition to check which filter to apply ? For example I have 3 filter options, Sepia, Pixellate and Crystallize and there is one active on the state. How can I assign the type of the active one to the currentFilter property inside loadImage function ? Their return types are different so I couldn't figure out how.

I have to ask your opinion here. Why doesn't Apple modernize/harmonize it's many API's? Are they more interested in selling hardware ... investing in Machine Learning, or something else completely. They seem to be rich enough that a cohort of developers could focus on some of this stuff exclusively. It seems that Microsoft focuses on i's tools and making the programming experience cleaner and smoother. Xcode seems to advance only if you drive a stake in the ground and make measurements, LOL.
