17.5.1 has basically broken my phone - apps randomly don't load, face recognition to unlock the phone sometimes freezes, podcasts app stops playing randomly and then freezes the whole phone, battery drain like I've never seen, apps freeze etc etc

iPhone 12 here and it’s not as responsive, because it’s overheating more often (one time while charging and therefore it stoped). Battery is also draining a bit faster (15-20%).

After I did my update, iPhone has stopped vibrating. At some point the vibration came back and then went off. I set alarm and it keeps snoozing even after ending it, it gives itself another 8min until I entirely turned off the alarm.

My 15 Pro Max used to take 7 minutes before 1% charge on iOS 17.5 but after updating to 17.5.1 my phone 1% charge sometimes ends in 5 minutes and sometimes takes 7/9 minutes to finish 1% charge. This problem is happening since iOS 17.5.1 update.. Will this problem be solved in iOS 18??!

@@justinl8455 feels as if Apple made the battery health indicator indicate a more accurate condition of the battery. Apple was blamed for not giving accurate readings on their battery health indicator, letting it stay at 100 way longer than it should. I guess they fixed that.

I'd been deleting photos off iCloud when IOS 17.5 came out. I'd deleted thousands of photos clearing up space so I wouldn't keep getting the "iCloud Almost Full" message but after the update I suddenly had thousands of random photos dumped onto my iPhone. Absolute garbage support from Apple even though they said they were treating it as a major issue.
