Is it me or has the type texting qwerty keyboard gotten really bad in iOS 18. So many mistakes and uncorrected typos. Seems really bad. Have you had that experience ?

@@fitguy49 oh, I was wondering if it’s just me or not. I use 2 languages (English and Russian) and in case of both it feels like keyboard corrects everything that’s right, and doesn’t do the same for everything that’s wrong 😂 And hitting the right key in general feels less accurate. Also, if you’re using AirPods (latest Pros in my case), sometimes keyboard sound start randomly corrupting and then turns off completely for seemingly no reason. Which is quite a weird thing I haven’t had on iOS 17 with the exact same hardware.

Same. For me 18.0.1 had Better battery life on my 16PM. From what I am noticing since updating is that there's lot of stuttering, lag, no app icon, lots of bugs like app freezing and crashing, random heating and few other issues. 18.2 hopefully fixes this.

@@heatherbell3224 15 Plus here. Same thing, battery seems SIGNIFICANTLY worse than on earlier builds (currently on 18.1). I usually got 8-9 hrs of mixed use WITH charge limiter always on 80%. Now it struggles to get to 7hrs with identical usage and I haven’t installed a single new app after update, so it’s definitely not some random app eating battery.

The incident where phones are not charging with the cable, they might want to check a setting and face and security to set a switch get will prevent any peripherals from being used if the phone has been locked for more than an hour. It’s down at the bottom of of Face ID and security

The iOS18 experience just keeps getting worse and worse for me. 15PM randomly heats up doing the usual social media browsing, only getting 3H33M of SOT and im down to 33%, photos app keeps ghosting images and locks up, and since the start of the month my battery health dropped 3 whole points, I'm now at 90% with 262 cycles. good lord.

apple still can't fix the keyboard sound issue when typing and someone is chatting to you for example on imessage or any messaging app the keyboard sound turns up annoyingly loud! if you're on beta software please do report this bug or error it has been here for many years from now up until ios 18 dunno why it's so hard to fix that issue.

Here’s a (not so) fun bug I experienced 2 days ago just prior to updating to public beta 2 from public beta 1… I had my Sennheiser Momentum 3 wireless headphones connected to my iPhone 15PM and also my Windows laptop. Listening to music via the laptop. A call came in on my phone and instead of the haptic buzz happening on the phone, the audio file of that haptic buzz played through the right stereo channel of my headphones *at full volume*. Temporary hearing impairment and pain as a result.

With iOS 18.1, when I take the iPhone 15PM off the charger, within less than an hour the battery goes from 100% to 85% even though the screen is locked and is on my home WiFi. I don’t have any apps running that wasn’t active when I was on 17.7.1 in the same conditions. I’m also having trouble with WiFi backup to my iMac. I have to hook it up directly on USB-C to do the backup, especially with my M1 iPad Pro. The iMac is on OS 15.1. I do have AI on my iPhone but use it only for speaking commands to Siri. AI Siri gets a lot more things right when I speak to it than plain Siri ever did. Siri AI no longer gets into the loop where I ask for directions, it gives me options, I select one, it asks if I want directions or to call, I say directions and it asks if I want to call or get directions, I say directions, it asks if I want to call or get directions and so forth.

I still have issues on iOS 18.2 beta 3 where the photos app sometimes won’t play audio on videos, even after toggling the sound icon on and off. The only solution is the restart the photos app. I am on an iPhone 16 pro. I don’t know exactly what causes it, but it seems to be some combination of locking the phone with the photos app open and then unlocking the device and trying to play a video.

You mentioned about stuff getting into the charging port preventing the cable from connecting. That's the issue I'm having with my 15 Pro Max. The only way I can charge now is my Magsafe charger. I've tried putting a toothbrush or other object in there to clean it out but nothing seems to get it cleaned out. Verizon will not work on it for liability reasons, so USB-C connectivity is hit or miss. If you know of any other way to get in there and clean that port out, I would appreciate any thoughts as I'd love to be able to connect external devices such as drives.

You can use the SIM card adapter tool or a small unfolded paper clip. That’s what they use at the Apple Store to clean them out. However, you have to be extremely careful so you don’t bend any of the pins inside otherwise it won’t work.

The App Store doesn’t connect to the server unless I reset usage data. Which then it works long enough to download one app before I have to do it again. I just submitted feedback

Has anyone had issues with the health app? Mine will just stop resetting and tracking for no reason. Only way to reset is to reboot the phone, not just the app. I have rebooted this 16 Pro Max more times in the 7 weeks I've had it, then the entire 3 years I owned my 13 PM.
